Schumer goes off on Trump supporter at NYC restaurant, witness says

Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, lost his cool on Sunday night at Upper East Side restaurant Sette Mezzo, according to witnesses.

He was dining with friends when he encountered Joseph A. Califano Jr. — the former U.S. secretary of health, education and welfare under President Jimmy Carter and domestic policy adviser to President Lyndon B. Johnson — and his wife, Hilary, who were having a quiet dinner.

Onlookers said Schumer was incensed that Hilary — the daughter of William S. Paley, the founder and chairman of CBS — had voted for Trump, even though her husband, Joseph, is a well-known Democrat.

One witness said of the restaurant rant, “They are a highly respected couple, and Schumer made a scene, yelling, ‘She voted for Trump!’ The Califanos left the restaurant, but Schumer followed them outside.” On the sidewalk, Schumer carried on with his fantastical filibuster: “ ‘How could you vote for Trump? He’s a liar!’ He kept repeating, ‘He’s a liar!’ ”

Hilary confirmed the confrontation, telling Page Six, “Sen. Schumer was really rude . . . He’s our senator, and I don’t really like him. Yes, I voted for Trump. Schumer joined us outside and he told me Trump was a liar. I should have told him that Hillary Clinton was a liar, but I was so surprised I didn’t say anything.”

It's totally amazing to me that there were no cameras present to catch this lunatic (Schumer) out in the public's view acting like this. Schumer is a leading democrat & is following his left-wing loony pals by behaving badly in public. If people wanted to vote for Trump then so be it.....it's not the stupid loony democrats job to embarrass people by pointing & shouting lunatic actions in public. Dumb democrats should have had a better candidate running for the Office of president than crooked Hillary & stupid Sanders w/his communistic platform.

Hell, you could probably slap Schumer's wife in front of him and he'd just stare opened eyed and lost. If you were to actually research the event online, instead of finding clips favorable to your worldview, you would discover that that clash was actually organized about a month in advance by Alt-Right goons. Of course the left/antifa folks gave them exactly what they wanted, but it was a trap set by Alt-Reichers.

They're also planning to do the same again later on this month/next month (whenever it is), when Anne Coulter comes to Berkeley to stir up nonsense with her nonsensical racism.

Sparks an interesting thought. I have never been to a protest. Closest i ever came was going to my chickfil a on chick fil a appreciation day a few years ago. But that doesn't count in my*mind; i went for*hunger pangs.

Who in th PF has ever been to a protest?

I know you're on this delusional "I'm Mr. Objective" kick on here since Donny got elected, but that's not what I said at all.

I said the left/antifa people gave them exactly what they wanted, meaning they participated in, if not even started (don't know the specific details), the violence.

But if it's wrong for the "Soros crowd" to go stir up the MAGAs at their little hate rallies, then surely it's wrong for the Alt-Reichers to go stir up the loony left at theirs too.

I have been to one protest in my life. I was 12 yo and my parents took me to protest the hillarycare bus. I have never had a desire to go to another one.
