I think that if business dealings with Russian spies or operatives, be it by him or people high up in his campaign, where there was a quid pro quo (i.e., you release Podesta emails, we promise to revisit sanctions) matters to his legitimacy as president.
If such proof is produced, then, depending on who did it and what was said, there may be cause for him to be removed from office. Certainly it would kill any power that he has, because everyone would then know he won by virtue of cooperation, by him or people on his team, with Russian spies.
Personally, I think he would resign. He could not get anything done with that hanging over his head.
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. The right is simply too invested in this. Despite the fact that he continues to be an absolute douchebag, in everything he does, at every moment, they will never admit it. Ever.
