Barton is a good guy. Wish he could of gone out with Joe Jackson and Crawford for his contributions to keeping Memphis relevant after Cal tried to kill it. Hope he has a good tourney

I thought the comment was weird listening to it. When UT is 7-7 in the SEC and 16-11 overall he should have a ton of pressure. The NCAA tourney is the first goal, not making it multiple years in a row should be unacceptable for any school.

Sadly Martin now has finished top 4 in the SEC 3 years in a row

:lolabove: yeah what a tragedy.

The two mistakes by Thompson really concern me, especially the ten second call. Even if DT still has the old Martin mentality in him about slowing it down, he is a coach's son. The lack of awareness and non chalant play is concerning.

I am sure those turnovers have been addressed by more than the coach. Something must be up with him but it could be the change from HS to College the physically of it the quality of opponents also

I agree to an extent... Players who don't listen to the coach's execution is on the coaches. IMO. If players aren't listening, doesn't that mean the coaching is ineffective?

No. It means the players the coaches representing the games plan and the players have been playing the me game until recently. There have been two major differences in the way the payers; hustle on defense, and getting the ball inside on offense. Even Jordan has been getting the ball inside. The other part of the game is the play of Barton the last 4 games. However, we need a really good PG if we want to be consistent on offense.

OK - it has been a good run. Zo is letting them play on offense and for some reason they have decided to play defense for 40 minutes instead of 20. Whatever works, right?

But let's get real on who they have played. Mizzou was the most accomplished team out of the 4. Mizzou won a grand total of 2 SEC games on the road, including losing their last 5 SEC road games in a row. Not dance worthy. We are very, very fortunate that the game is down nationwide and may limp into the tourney by finishing as the third best team in the SEC. If the team lights up UK or UF in the SEC tourney then we all will know that they finally turned the corner as Barton suggests.

Finally, Zo has been more animated and passionate in the last couple of weeks than he has been all season and probably for all three seasons combined. What took him so long? We will know he has turned the corner as a coach when he gets teed up for the first time in his career standing up for his players.

Ya I'm confused you can play like crap all year, but if you beat candy auburn and a bad road playing Mizou team your now Jim beheim. If this was last year we'd be out of the tourney again but the bubble is so soft well probably sneak in. I guess people's basketball standards are gone after Bruce left and losing two nits to **** teams at home and sneaking into one big dance is the new standard

Well, Jim Boeheim has problems of his own at the moment. But as far as I know, nobody has beaten these teams as badly as UT did. I love the peanut gallery. You didn't beat them badly enough, or it was an expected win.
