Any big surprises coming?

Cant remember when we had "surprises" coming in recruiting and it being positive. Bryce Brown maybe?
I don't really need surprises, I'll take some good players. Yeah he was a surprise all right of how big a bust he was. Not just in game bust but a horrible teammate in the locker room

On rivals we are 11th, going by average star ranking. So once we have a full class, if we recruit to the level we already have with 20 recruits so far, and everyone else recruits to the level they have so far, we will finish 11th.

Only ever go by average per-recruit ranking, no matter which service you're looking at.. That tells most of the story.

On 247 our recruit average is below Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU , Texas a&m, and Auburn just in the sec.

This happens when you start the season 1-5 with the worst loss in program history. By the time we were 2-5 most recruits had picked there teams.

I’m still not sold on him being a “great” recruiter. I don’t care what he got at bama and uga. He’s done well here, but not great. We are sitting at 19 right now, which is 8th in the sec. More important though is the recruit average, ours is 88.33. That’s lower than South Carolina and Kentucky for instance. We lost a key in state player at a position of need to auburn. Honestly with the staff we have I expected more.
We have to Feb. to flip Hardy; it aint over yet.

Nah. It definitely didn’t help, but we’ve been missing on targets in the latter half of the season. Dline is a position of need and we lost a highly ranked in state kid who I believe was even a legacy to Tennessee to the Auburn tigers, well after the crappy start. Recruiting has to be better, period.

Is he waiting til February or signing in December? Either way I guess it’s possible to flip him and hopefully they do. Losing recruits like this hurt.

I’m disappointed with this class it’s below Kentucky and Miss. St and SC jr that’s embarrassing
Watch out .. don't speak any truth .. you will called names .. you are right though .. unless we compete with Ga and Fla on recruits we are middle of the pack .. maybe the masses are content with that ..

The momentum from a strong finish this season will probably impact the 2021 class especially after we get a few guys drafted. The first two losses put us behind on 2020.

it would be the truth.. except the class isn’t anywhere near finished yet.

Friend played a big part in landing Morris and Wright in the last class. Our o-line recruiting has been fine. D-line recruiting has been a little disappointing. Rocker doesn't seem to be a good recruiter.

Nieds was the lead recruiter on Wright. I don't believe Friend was heavily involved with either Wright or Morris.

That does it then! A number put on a recruit by a few keyboard nerds means more than what Million $$ Coach thinks! Right????

What coach thinks? Coach thought hardy was good enough to offer and frankly thought he was ours, but we lost him to Auburn. Yes or no? Also, I guarantee you if the recruiting sites said Tennessee had the #1 class you would be singing pruitts praises and bragging about our top ranked recruits. But when we’re 8th in the sec, the rankings don’t matter. Get real 😂

I am real. Not 1 single team signs every player they want and offer. So we lost hardy.
I don’t really get to worked up about rankings.
Not after Butch Jones and his top five classes of McKenzie, Richmond etc.
So get real dude, I ain’t losing any sleep over our rankings

Well the reality is our class is 8th in the sec and our player average lower than Kentucky and South Carolina. We are missing on in state kids at positions of need. Recruiting will have to be better. For someone who cares so little about recruiting rankings, you sure seem easily bothered by people discussing it.

You know when it’s your second season as a head coach n your literally having to start from night near scratch there will be some downfall when it comes to recruiting ... Mark Stoops at Ky has done a heck of a job there so Jeremy n his staff needs time ..... patience these days isn’t to likely on the HILL it seems but damn give that man time at least
