Any chance for Chris Petersen?

He WAS a Catholic....not anymore. If he comes, he will want Tom Cruise to be the OC. And Rosie O'Donnell to be the DC....(which might be an improvement)

On Ainge's show he said he was a Scientologist and Finebaum has said that as well.

I honestly do not care if he worships satan and has blood sacrifices on thursday nights as long as he can win football games...If people are concerned over what his religion is THEY are the ones with problems.

I don't think Peterson would leave--he's had several lucrative opportunities thrown his way (most recently UCLA) and has turned them all down. I think he likes the lifestyle out in Boise and "fits" that program.

I have always wondered what Chris Peterson's dream job is...

I mean if he truly could not be happier than coaching a Boise State, then good for him. But I just can't see that being the be all end all for a coach of his caliber

Chris Peterson just seems better than the job he currently has.

What's it matter what his religion is? Plenty of Southern Baptist who are heading straight to hell. But I bet folks would hire a good ole boy...what about Catholics? Would you have a Catholic as your coach?

I'd say no chance. I would offer him a ton of money and make him say no but I don't see him coming here. The only place I can see him going is Oregon one day.

Yes, a catholic is fine. Most anything will do. But scientology would be a tough sale in the south

Do you know how to tell the difference between Chris Petersen the football coach and Chris Peterson the scientologist(besides spelling their names differently)? If it's moving it's Chris Petersen the football coach because Chris Peterson the scientologist died in 2010. Don't let this information stop you dumbazzes from confusing the two.

I would kick Lovie Smith out of the plane, fill it up with cash, and fly it straight to Boise and bomb his house with money until he said no a dozen times.

Offer him 5 million a year and make him look you in the eyes and say no...And then make him say it again...He and his family would be set for life...Damn how can you turn down that kind of money to live in Boise Idaho???

Probably because Boise, ID is actually ranked in the top ten for high living/low cost standards by almost every service. I'm sure he'd ask you the same about Miami. Heck, I would too. I think Miami is a toilet.

When you have a lifetime contract at $2 million a year and it increases by $200,000 each year, why would you put your family in jeopardy to take on a rebuilding project in a region that you have no recruiting ties? Makes zero sense.

Can't really add anything to that. Boise's a pretty nice city, contrary to popular belief. Also, little stress, lifetime contract, etc.

He wouldn't even consider UCLA's offer. It was the PAC-12, his child has a doctor at Cedars-Sinai and he turned down $4M flat... then said it wasn't the money; his family loves Idaho, he loves his job and he's not interested in leaving. He wouldn't go to UCLA and there's less chance he's coming here.

We had a Catholic as our coach. He was fired 2 weeks ago.

I highly doubt he comes to the SEC especially because he has a gold mind at Boise St. He also wouldn't come because our schedule is hard as balls next year. We play the SEC East and Oregon next year.

Wish I had a golden mind.
