I actually think that TJ will excel in this offense and I wouldn’t have a problem with handing him the keys right now…..
If we did not have a super senior in JM on the roster. He may not be HH, but he is very experienced, doesn’t seem to be phased by pressure (hence not making stupid decisions), and he can make every throw that this offense requires.
His accuracy last night was damn good. That first TD was so tight that I think it startled the DB a little.
If there is a concern to be had, it’s that the offense doesn’t seem to run as efficiently with JM. Hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it just seems less efficient somehow. Maybe it’s just the reps. It did take HH a couple of games this year to really click.
Again though, I think people are underestimating TJ. If he has to come in and start for some reason, I think he’ll surprise a lot of people. He has a similar skill set to that kid at UNC and by all accounts has a similar swagger.
