Any fans of Terra Nova?

I was going to start a thread on this show. The first two hours were pretty decent save for the angst ridden teenage son.

But it has a long way to go compared to The Doctor.

Little tidbit I've thought about that ruined this show for me: If humans are traveling millions of years in the past to escape overpopulation, shouldn't they have traveled to a time period AFTER the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs hit? Just a thought...

I thought the premiere was pretty solid. Nice theory OE...didn't think of that.

And I need a Link showing a Asteroid killed all the dinos. Don't believe it!

This show reminded me a bit in premise of a show from the 90's called Earth 2. It only lasted one season if I remember correctly.

I meant to watch the premiere. Looks like I missed it. After seeing teasers for it, it reminded me a lot of Avatar, with that colonel guy being the head honcho on Terra Nova.

Putting Obama on the 100 dollar bill was terrible.

And as far as deciding where to go into the past it is my understanding they didn't have a choice. And they have 20 million years to worry about the asteroid so not really an issue.

If they don't have the budget for quality fx, and realistic picturesk scenery then don't try. Please don't put actors infront of a really horriblly obvious green screen.

also if u don't have the budget for quality realistic computer generated dinosaurs then you have other ways to convey the same intent. audio, camera angles can net you the same terror if you are smart about it without putting a huge crappy fake evil dinosaur cropped onto the screen.

Its visuals, audio, acting, and plot was more like a crappy syfy movie...and I wanted it to be like Lost (in the acting, camera visuals, and plot)
