He's pushed his return flight back from tonight to tomorrow. Most people on TOS think it is a good sign

I remember following recruiting since at least 1998 anywhere I could find a place to get information and felt I was on top of things for at least 5 years, but this board has some people that get information QUICKLY! Thanks to all of you in the know. I think I love you. LOL Don't take it too personal.

Not to hijack this thread but I would also like to say thanks to all who make this the best Vol site on the net. Before I found Volnation I was on Scout or GVX trying to get info(I am ashamed of this).Take your pick with those two sites, trolls on GVX or Tennstud on Scout,I'm not sure which is worse.

Yeah, Cobb delayed his flight back to Oklahoma. Said he didn't expect what he saw on Saturday. Also commented on the stadium and jumbotron.

That is a heck of a quote! A recruit goes on a recruiting trip and watches practice, delays his flight, and says he didn't expect to see something??!! What the heck happened? Did Berry levitate across the field or something??

In reality, he said nothing about expecting less. In fact, he said Tennessee was already one of his favorites. Not sure where that guy got that from.

"Tennessee is definitely one of my favorites," Cobbs said. "Before I visited them, they were one of my favorites."

Another Cobbs quote from TOS:

"Oklahoma is representing at Tennessee. I'm going to definitely take an official visit. I was supposed to leave at 5:15, but I enjoyed it so much that I didn't want to leave and decided to stay an extra night."

Man I would rather him commit on the spot. But still an official is awesome.

We are in the driver's seat and I would go further in saying it would be a surprise if he committed anywhere else. He's a top prospect though, let him do things at his own pace. We'll get him in the end.

I don't know where I saw it, maybe on Rivals but, I think he was already leaning toward UT. Ambles, MIlton, and Cobbs would have to be the best WR haul for UT since Morgan, Pickens, and Harper.

Go Vols

Meachem was #3, Swain was #7, and Smith was #14 IIRC in the WR rankings. We'll probably never have a haul quite that good again.

Rankings wise, yes. Not sure Swain and Smith lived up to their ranking. Meachem did, the other 2 were just solid players.IMO

Swain always seemed to make a catch when we needed it, and Bret Smith, while rarely making a ton of noise, also seemed to come up with the ball when it mattered. Ill take that any day of the week, lol.
