Any possible JUCO OL help on the horizon?

Maybe sand bagging is the wrong word. Did you read my disclaimer? I think more of allocation of resources over time would be a better way of putting it. I think he felt that neither Dobbs nor Blair would effect the win total this year. We as fans look at one game, one month, one season. He knows he's got 4 years to get this thing going. Nothing wrong with him allocating his resources over time to get him where he wants to be. I compare this to burning Worley's redshirt when it made absolutely no impact on the season that year. Can you imagine the outlook for next year had we had JW coming back? Now it's turned into a huge question mark.

I have been and continue to be in your camp on this issue. That deal got cut when Hart was in Cincy interviewing Butch IMO.

:hi:

I just posted this in the football thread: per NCAA stats UT is #16 in Total D and #106 in Total O. Even after yesterday's game. Totally loaded on D in recruits this year and last. Just good on O in recruits this year and last.

Recruits and their parents know what's up with college programs. Their kids are their treasure. They are not yet sold on the O and its coaches. So he still sells the need and immediate playing time on O. Otherwise he would have a true freshman with an experienced guy on the same side and used a converted lineman as a blocking TE like Fulmer did. None of that is happening.

Even the best JUCO OT is not a guarantee of anything...there is not quick fix to OL woes.

Better chance of improvement the more options we have. If these 5 are out there next year in the same positions, we're in trouble.

What?
5 star RB and WR. #1 rated TE. CBJ is knee deep in top rated skill position talent.
Agree with you on the other. Putting two true frosh on the right side is a mistake. I certainly don't recall Kendrick looking as bad at LT as Thomas has at RT.

You would think improvement would be inevitable against UTC, wrong again. This group for whatever reason just doesn't gel.

Do agree with that..they should be improving and aren't for some reason. Just like Dobbs last yr, he got worse the more he played.
