Any recourse for a car repair shop damaging a car?

I had a dealership wreck my car on it's first scheduled oil change, more than 8 grand in damages. They admitted fault but wanted to do bare minimum in rectifying the issue.

Update. It seems as though they've finally admitted fault and are going to look at a fix. I'm not sure how you fix a punctured dash, though, without replacing the entire thing.

Glad to hear that.

I have reconditioning crews that I use and sub out repairs like that. They can do incredible things with a dash that make it look new. Hopefully they do for you. On the same note. Windshield repair is a special skill to get done right. That is something I sub out 100% of the time. The name brand windshield repair places can do it better and cheaper than my shop every time.

Oh hell no. I'd take it to a reputable car repair shop and get an estimate on the repairs. Then show them the estimated invoice.

Not a bad idea. Anyone have any suggestions for a place that does this type of work?

Grand Vol's 2nd Amendment Gun and Ammo Conservative Car Repair Emporium.

'course, you gotta drive it to Oklahoma, but hey...you want the best, you make the drive.

Sorry, Freak. Had to do it. Some great steakhouses out that way, though.

Go Vols.

And now, on a serious note, call your auto insurance company. Ask them who they send their clients (you) to for similar repairs. Odds are they're reputable, since your insurance company has to stand behind any work they do.

Hope that helps.

That man has done me more good than many others I call close friends. Class act. Let's all hope he gets back in the game on VN. We need him here.

He helped me turn a clunky Colt 6721 into a certified Zombie-slayer, to the point where I've had our SRT guys (I don't run with that herd anymore) and GSP SWAT troopers ask if they could look over my rifle. No bells, whistles, or crap that will get caught up when you have to draw that rifle in a hurry. Just the necessary internals, externals, and ammo to win a serious gunfight.

Now...if i could just shoot accurately.

Repairing is gonna be tough and fixing right with a new or salvaged dash is gonna be a huge PITA that’s costly but that’s probably what needs to be done.
