Instead what he said was actually a little worrying bc his observation is that Joe still has trouble making the right judgments in live fire situations. He tends to throw to covered receivers instead of seeing the play develop.
Whereas in his judgment Nico can see the whole field.
In static non-live throwing drills he said Nico is actually slightly ahead of Joe but there’s really little difference there.
Yes he said all of this after adjusting for the difference between the ones and twos plus non contact jerseys and developing plays that were stopped before fully developing etc.
The IMPLICATION being that Joe might struggle in games which could result in a potential QB controversy this year.
