With so many teams in the top 25 winning this week I say we end up somewhere between 15 - 18 even though our game was one of the highest ranked games this week.

UT could have definitely benefited from a few more losses by teams in the top ten. It will take consistent play and a sound beating of the Gators for UT to sniff the top 10. UT embarrassed the pollsters last year, and the voters take that pretty hard.

I don't care where we are ranked right now. If our team plays like this all year, we'll be a top 5 team by the end of the season.

15th would be fine. No Top 10 losers except Cal. Most were playing a "rope a dope" game. The FSU and Miami loser will drop only a couple spots.

Michigan & Penn State did not impress.

Vols will be in top 5/10 when they whup them Gators !

well, it was on National TV, we killed a top 10 team....no real big losers and still have Miami FSU to go....i'll say they get to 15 or 16 or so. top ten isn't realistic unless we beat UF in two weeks.

Looking at yesterday's scoreboard, there's not a lot of room for us to skyrocket in the polls, even though almost all of the top 20 played the "school of blind, deaf & dumb" type of openers. I think a lot of the voters, after last year, will need more than one game to be satisfied that we are for real. I think one or more of the polls will leapfrog Texas and maybe even Auburn over the Irish, but I may be wrong. Not that that will affect us any right now...I say we go no higher than 14, more likely 16.

I would guess that we'll probably be ranked somewhere around #18. Another team that really struggled yesterday that I haven't seen anyone mention is Oklahoma. They barely snuck by UAB. I would guess that Oklahoma is a team that could easily slide in the polls despite the fact that they scratched out a victory.
