Imo there is no way Tyler is a first rounder. I love Tyler Smith as a player but what is he going to play in the NBA? I actually think Tyler could be a better NBA player then most but he will have to find his niche. Tyler has a family to support so I can see him leaving even if he doesn't project to be a high draft pick. There is no doubt Chism has the tools and would get drafted but he isn't ready yet either. My guess is he goes anyway. Watch out for Negedu in a couple of years he appears to have unlimited potential. This team isn't short on talent they just have no chemistry.

Tyler and Chism will both be gone at the end of the year.

Cardinal is much bigger than Tyler and Tyler will have a very tough time playing PF in the NBA.

If he plays SF he will get abused on defense and he can't shoot a jump shot and he isn't going to be able to take his man, at the three, off the dribble.

His heart/hustle is all world but he doesn't have a position in the NBA.

Off this list, who is he going to be able guard?

Still waiting...

He'll be a role player off the bench. He won't be a starter or a star. But he will make his money and have a decent career.

I'd be willing to bet Tyler will be in the league longer than Chism....

....not that either player will last very long.

i agree with most that smith and chism will be gone at years end. i'm really pleased for the most part how wayne is playing so far this year but not tyler, i just wish the two of them would both play good for one game. after football this bball team has been so disappointing to watch!

T. Smith & Chism are gone.

Next year wont be looking any better for the basketball vol's.

Probably not but you never know. In basketball good chemistry goes along way. Negedu, Hopson, Woolridge and Williams "should" all be better next year and hopefully Prince won't get injured and will be in shape. If Cam can get more consistent and D. West is a true point guard we may be ok. It would be nice to find a great 3-point shooter from JC but I haven't heard of anyone we are looking at.

btw, everyone knows that losing Lofton and J Smith have hurt but I also think that losing Duke Crews and R Smith have hurt more then people realize.

They'll both be fine. They will also be as 'NBA ready' as the vast majority of those who leave early.

I agree but I do think if Wayne would come back he would improve his draft position of course I thought the same about Tyler after last season.

I honestly doubt either of these guys leave. I mean, realistically, yeah, everyone is expecting at least Tyler to leave, he put in his draft evaluation last year, which you can only do once. But....I really don't know. I know Tyler has beat himself up for being part of the team that broke a what was it 38 game streak at game? I know he's unhappy with how they have played, and I think he's taken alot on himself, as far as blame goes. He was supposed to be the leader. As far as Wayne goes....I'm impressed with his play this year. He's set out to make a name for himself. But I honestly hope and think that both of these players stay around another year. I don't think either of them would go very high in this years draft. I would hope that they would take another year and let these other players grow up and get these degrees.
