He is probably teaching, but the players are not learning. Also, I know everyone says Barnes doesn’t teach offense well, but when he first got here he turned a 10 ppg player in Kevin Punter into a 22ppg scorer! I mean where has that kind of teaching gone? Having a guy scoring like that this year on this team with be so valuable! I know Barnes likes having balance, but you know what I love having even more? A freaking killer on offense. We need one and we haven’t had one in a long time

With JJJ sidelined for probably at least 2-3 weeks do other guys get minutes in his place, or do the usual suspects just get more minutes? Maybe this means Mashack plays more. If Mashack could develop his offensive game further then he would be such a solid player.
If you look at conference mpg JJJ is at 25mpg, so that’s roughly what we are losing, as others have said matchups probably dictate it a bit. Missouri plays pretty small so I would think bulk of those minutes go to Key, Phillips & Mashack with some to Awaka, but then again maybe Barnes attempts to twin tower them, but I’m not sure I agree with that idea. Regardless hopefully he’s not out very long and we don’t have to worry too much about it.I would guess Mashack getting an extra 8 min or so, Awaka getting an extra 8 or so, and Plav getting an extra 5 with the rest split among the other bigs.
Yeah, I don’t think I was considering the Mizzou matchup. I would expect smaller ball as wellIf you look at conference mpg JJJ is at 25mpg, so that’s roughly what we are losing, as others have said matchups probably dictate it a bit. Interesting take on ON. It does line up with my belief that despite Barnes being one of his biggest backers for 3 years, he's growing tired of the inconsistency and low/lack of effort.Doesn’t sound like any…JJJ or Santi I’m sure would be welcomed back by the staff, but they seem ready to move on, not sure the staff wants Uros or Olivier back.
He’s had a short leash with him many times this year, including the 2nd half of our very last game…his ceiling for this year is higher than anyone’s but the inconsistency is an issue (which is a case for much of this team).Interesting take on ON. Yep, exactly. I mentioned this in another thread. His minutes have been declining over the last several games. He’s had a short leash with him many times this year, including the 2nd half of our very last game…his ceiling for this year is higher than anyone’s but the inconsistency is an issue (which is a case for much of this team).
She’s a seniorSanti is the only senior I'd even think could return and it's mostly because his girl is just a junior. So if he wants to be in the states or TN for another year to be with her I could see him returning, don't think it would hurt his ability to play professionally either. He's likely not getting drafted in the NBA so he'll be grinding to get a shot or playing professionally overseas.
per basilio per VNJJJ officially out, Phillips to play but at less than 100%, according to Basilio.
