Oh well, it happens.
How is that not a challengable call though? Deciding whether or not a dude was down seems like it should be reviewable... not that any of the angles I saw looked very conclusive either way.
Because when the whistle blows, the play is over with and theoretically the players stop.
I understand that, but could it be reviewed to see and or hear if the whistle blows before or after the fumble???
Not really, because even if the play was whistled dead after the fumble, it was still whistled dead. Even if the ball is laying on the ground, if the whistle blows, that's the end of the play.
Can't really say much about tonight except our defense blew it for us when we really needed them to come through, you can't let the other team convert 4th down and 8 and expect to win a game....I'm disappointed in tonight, but after that last drive that really made me wonder how much our boys on the Defensive side of the ball wanted it....They played good but didn't show they wanted it at the end
WE have....SEC officiating sux this year...however, Les Miles shows me that you can take a coach out of the big nothin', but you can't take the big Nothin' out of the coach. Mack would be proud, though.when you've had some of the calls that have gone against you like LSU has then you become pretty sensitive to it. still hard to believe only 1 penalty against your team tonite. what about the non-call against the ut player who tried to take out davis on the punt return? it's pretty easy to single out one play, if you want, but i prefer to say good game on both sides and my team was fortunate to go into hostile territory and come out with the w.
