Milo - what do you think we dress like down here in the south? :D

You think I have some stereotype view of you guys? I have relatives in Tennessee.

Anyways... I'll use an anecdote when my brother happened to be on a small snack run with Erik in the car. He points out Erik's earing. "Is that a diamond?" "Nah, it's my cubic zirconia rock. Ho's like it"

Draw what conclusions you will

eric needs to loose that earing, diamond or cubic zirconia, period! I'm sorry to hear he has an earring. Maybe Peyton can advise him on this issue. C'mon down and run around barefoot with the rest of us inbred secessionists.

Schaeffer is the one wearing them on the sidelines. I have never seen Erik wearing his during a game. Earrings don't bother me, but I don't really like to see any jewelry or cell phones during a game.

Seriously

I wonder what it would be like if I actually moved there (still a possibility)

You'd never leave.

Schaeffer does wear on and it looks like crap. I will not make any more stereotypes about this topic than I have posted.

Hey MemphisVol, My comment was in reference to the INCREDIBLE bias ESPN has in their unfair coverage, or lack therof, of sports south of the Mason-Dixon line. They can cover the Red Sux ,uh, Red Sox, Michigan-Ohio St., NHL or whatever happens up there. They do not know what goes on down here and really that is quite alright. Look Away, Look Away, Look Away...Dixieland!

I agree with you, then. All I care about is football, and mainly college football. I think the SEC is superior to all other conferences. Just look at a list of all NFL players and what schools they came from. I bet the largest percentage would have come from the SEC.

The Southeastern Conference led the nation with 263 former players on 2003 National Football League opening day rosters. The Big Ten was second with 207 followed by the Pac-10 with 191, Big 12 with 187 and the Atlantic Coast Conference with 144.

And in 2004... The Southeastern Conference had 260 of its former players on opening day playing rosters in the National Football League, which leads all college football conferences. The Big Ten was second with 215 followed by the ACC with 212, the Pac-10 with 196, Big 12 with 80 and the Big East with 78 former players on NFL rosters.

Tennessee led all SEC schools with 38 former players in the NFL ...

Corso said that Steve is making a huge mistake. I don't think he'll be able to do the same thing with SC that he did at Gatorland. :bad: Even though the program at SC is better than that which he had at Duke, SC will NOT win an SEC Championship under the "visor throwing coach." You can take that to the bank. Corso said that SC is only the 7th best team in the SEC. He's right on that as these teams are much better-Duh: UT, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Alabama. Don't think SC can beat this group consistently, regardless of which teams are on their schedule. SC has Fla, UT and the Dawgs on the schedule all the time.

Depending on who Florida gets as coach, I think Florida will be Spurrier's new "Tennessee."

Expect to hear comments like, "I don't consider myself as being from Florida." Very similar to some of the comments the Kingsport, TN native said during his years at Florida. He seemed to take a little extra delight in beating Tennessee and now I think his attention will be diverted towards Florida.

I also think he's got Georgia's number. Even while he was losing 9 games in his final 3 seasons at Florida... he still beat Georgia.

LSU, Auburn and Alabama are on alternating schedules.

The Cocks biggest games each season are Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Clemson. If he can beat 2 or even 3 of those every year... and beat all the unranked teams on the schedule.... he can finish 8-3 or 9-2 at least every year.

Spurrier will still take delight at sticking it to Tenn if he can, he still hates em for not recruiting him as a player

Beign bitter is a sad sad thing... consumes your whole life, and I think you're right about UF, he's bitter that they told him to just get in line, and he'll stick it to 'em.

I agree. Spurrier will turn the program around, but in the long run he will not be able to become a national contender year in and year out.

I think that South Carolina will turn into a stronger SEC force, but definitley not a national contender. Although I might expect maybe ONE top 25 appearance, if Spurrier can get an upset or two and finish with a ten win season.
