He threw for 398 yards in his first game and he just took Miami down the field for a TD on their first drive against GT with 2 beautiful throws. He's played one game and one drive and he looks fantastic. I guess it's natural. A qb gets it or he doesn't. One ingredient he has at his disposal, big fast wide receivers that are getting open. Of course he still has to hit them and he does every time in stride right between the numbers.

Yes, I was impressed with him against Florida State. Watching so far tonite and he still looks good. If only we had something in that same position....

He's a sophomore. I am impressed that he makes the right reads and perfect throws. I am not impressed about who he is doing it against. The ACC has looked awful imo. Everyone was wide open for both Miami and FSU when they played. The holes for running backs were huge. The same thing has happened against Georgia Tech so far. Everyone on Miami is getting wide open. You could say it's great offenses but after seeing Virginia and Duke lose to FCS schools, I just think the ACC is bad. 3 points for NC State against South Carolina also didn't make their conference look any better.

The ESPN announcers said he was a freshman, that's why I thought he was. I didn't see the entire game against Florida State, but from what I've seen he is very good. Good point about the ACC, it is awful.

Always impressed with the talent level of certain individual players at Miami, Jacory Harris is def. another one that fits that category. Along with Graig Cooper.

And trust me when I say this-Teddy Bridgewater 2011 recruit is more advance at this stage than Jacory Harris at this point. Bridgewater is a 5 star recruit and I'm praying the Vols get him!!! They have a good shot as he wants to leave Miami according to the paper here!

Harris just took them down the field again, threw one questionable pass over the middle. otherwise he was flawless. Man, it use to look like this in Knoxville, balls flying over the field, receivers getting open all over the field. Man, I miss those days.

If Coach Gran keeps signing South Florida kids then Tennessee will start to look like that again. Living here in Miami, the buzz is definately on the Vols right now as the hot team to go to!!! Great job Gran -keep it up!! GO VOLS!!!

Are you saying he is more advanced than Harris when Harris was 16? Bridgewater at 16 is not better than Harris at 19.

Yes, when harris was a senior in high school and Bridgewater is just a junior and Bridgewater is better now than when Harris was a senior. This kid is flat out awesome. I have lived in Miami for 17 years now and this city puts out at least 25-45 D1 prospect per year just in Miami and Ft.Lauderdale along not even counting Palm Beach and Belle Glade and Pahokee areas. If I was Gran I would just camp out here and take 10-15 kids along from South Florida. Also, watch out for the kids at Central this year QB Jeffrey Godfrey and Rb Gainer and Clements from Booker T. RB Gore at Columbus is a little short for my liking but good bloodlines-Cousin is Frank Gore with the 49er's NFL. These kids from South Florida are ready to play immed. because of the competition down here is like a college level.

Okay. I was just making sure you weren't saying that a 16 year old could come out and play better than Harris has been playing. Normally I wouldn't say a 16 year old could play better than any college player but I wouldn't be surprised if Bridgewater could play better than Nesbit. Nesbit is a horrific qb. Georgia Tech may as well just line up a regular runningback at quarterback. If asked to throw, his throws couldn't be any worse than Nesbit's.

Tech has NOBODY on the defense line except Derrick Morgan---and boy, he looks out of shape.

The secondary was thought of as a strength of Tech this year (Morgan Burnett was tied with Eric Berry for interceptions last year) but they are getting torched.

It's a lot of stuff over the middle though...and Harris is getting a lot of time. Eek.

Oh well, you win some..you lose some. But the game isn't over...YET.

One other note:Teddy Bridgewater goes to Northwestern same high school as Jacory Harris-Canes QB now. Harris senior year they were national champs and state champs and like 7 members with Harris signed with UM. What a team, They could have beaten some college teams as they were that talented!
