Why don't you take a long walk off a short pier.
UT will finish in the top 20.
Seriously mods. Do something. I'm not for censorship, but threads started just to promote negativity. And this is coming from a negative poster.

Also, in six years of coaching, Jones has a 50-27 record with four conference championships (2 at each school). In comparison, Derek Dooley has a 32-41 record (including 17-20 at La Tech), and no conference championships.

With that kind of track record, I would be surprised if Jones can't pull in better recruiting classes than Dooley.

The coach before Kelly was Dantonio (who is at Michigan State). Dantonio was between 100's-80's in recruiting rankings. Butch Jones brought in 25 3* players in the 2012 class (2010/2011 2 4*, 30 3*). UC had 2 4*, and 24 3* players sign from 2003-2009 (Dantonio/Kelly).

I think most of the people we have recruited will stay so they are ranked number 25. Add about five 4 stars and we'll be in the top twenty.

And just when was the last 4 star that this joker recruited pray tell?

There won't hardly be any 4 stars with this guy. Oh, he might get lucky and snag one here and there, but for the most part, we'll be down there competing with Kensucky, Duke, and MTSU for 2 and 3 star kids.

And I was hoping when we got a new coach we could trade some of "dooley's diamonds" in for some better players. Oh well.

This is problem: 4 star guys in the Southeast will be recruited by all the big dogs, and we'll need some damn good recruiters to steal even a handful from our rivals. We've got find a way to start winning games--that's the best way to recruit.

And that was at Cinci. Both Dantonio and Kelly moved on to schools with more resources and better brands...and have done well. No reason to think that Butch can't do the same.

15-20 , we always get that high. If a loser like DD can pull top 25 classes CBJ will be just fine.

About where it is top 25. The problem is winning does not match recruiting the past five years. Simply bottom feeders for coaches. Watch us come off the bottom now. Butch will shake them up.

Espn has us number 28 right now, Butch has some ground to make up but has plenty of time to do it a top 20 class is on par and a top 10 is a huge win! I will with hold my mind on weather or not I'm a fan of this hire until the UGA.

Yeah, no doubt these thoughts in this thread we totally off. Kinda like predictions there are many more that end up wrong than right. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!

Thing with recruiting in the SEC is that 7-8 schools recruit well enough to be top 20 every year, 4-5 are top ten. This year Bama, SC, aTm, Aub, LSU, UGA and UF could all end up with UT in the top 1-15. Cutthroat league.
