I would think the Florida-Tennessee game would give some big time qbs a glance of what could happen. hope Nolen sees himself on that d line next year.

Alot of the people on here need to just jump ship and go root for Tulane, at least you can keep the T and really have a reason to see no hope for the future. Tennessee is headed in right direction just gonna take some recruiting, developing and snagging from the portal. It will happen sooner than later.

Just following how the recruiting process played out. Simpson was our top target until he committed to Bama. Then Horn was our top target but we got on too late and he already had his mind made up. Then we took the commitment from Jackson

I followed the recruiting pretty closely. Simpson and Horn were offered before Heupel got here. So he didn’t have to start from scratch with those guys so to speak. I don’t think it was necessarily Simpson and Horn were his first 2 choices. Heupel actually offered Jackson.

Those were the top choices of the posters on this board. We don’t know the top QB choices of the current coaching staff.

Simpson was 100% his top choice. Not sure Horn was really the 2nd choice though. Jackson is a better fit for the system than he is. He just had the strong UT ties.

Simpson has talent, but he's played behind a sieve of an offensive line. Young man has been running for his life all through high school. Curious as to how long it will take him to get over his happy feet and settle in the pocket (stationary or rolling) and work through his reads. Shea Patterson comes to mind. He never got over his happy feet.

No those were our top two choices according to Volquest, and they have ways of finding out who our coaches top choices are. Even if “sources” are tight lipped, Its not hard for them to find out who’s being recruited the hardest. After Simpson committed we put the full court press on Horn but, IIRC, we only had like 2 weeks to close the gap because his announcement was already scheduled.

I think Jackson will have more success in college than either one of them. I believe that Jackson has played against better competition than Simpson. And I am not sure that Horn is that elite.

Simpson should easily see that Bama’s offense is not the juggernaut since Sark left for Austin.

I’m not sure our staff really wanted Horne. That’s why he went elsewhere.

Heupel offered 2 2022 QBs: Drew Allar and Tayven Jackson. Allar committed to PSU before they could get into the thick of his commitment, so they hard pressed Tayven and got him in. Next on the chopping board would’ve been AJ Swann who committed to Maryland
