I will think if you getting the last laugh when we play them and win this year lol

Easy big guy, lets get USU first. We got to get our run d together before we see the dawgs. If they had Murray pulling the strings the dawgs would be nasty, run game is no joke. We will have to stack the box and dare them to beat us throwing. Also, their d looks much improved with the new coach.

Well, I am an old fart now but back in my early 20s I would make a complete ass (usually alcohol fueled) of myself over UT football. Little older and a little wiser now but SEC allegiance is something that literally burns in your soul. Can't wait for 7pm. Go Vols!

we have enough experienced players at the right positions to keep everyone in check. Lane, Worley, North, Pig, AJ, Curt, Vereen, Randolph, Sutton.... we have experience spread around the field besides the lines, so we will be OK. we will win.

Once again, just hours before kickoff, I fin myself pacing the floor. Running through the Maxims and how we can execute them..then that thought comes creepin in, what if we get into a hole and can't climb out? Anyone else feel like the world is holding their head under the water?

I felt that way last year when the Vols lost to Vandy, the nausea and anger after that game%&$#@

It's a new year and I don't want to feel that way ever again.
Go Vols

Their QB has the tools to give our defense of old fits. I hope for our sake he is not yet 100% and that our D is improved over previous years, particularly in decision making (awareness) and speed.

I have got to say I am nervous for the season to start, but I feel.really good about this game. I think the struggles of other teams have help us as well. I think it will have made the team more focused on what th we y need to come out and do.from the opening whistle. The weather and the effect it could have on the crowd and the ball handling are.the only thing that.make me.worry any. Bad weather runs the fans out of the stands and negates the home field advantage and a slippery ball is always dangerous. That said we still get it done. GBO

I'm nervous as can be. Mostly about Worley and the O-Line.

But in a few hours the time for talking will be over. Then, good or bad, we'll know.

I have confidence that we will beat them barring nothing too huge happening. But if we get in a deep hole early can out younger players overcome it?

Yes, we can. Never fear Butch is here! :superman:
Faster than a speeding Aggie, more powerful than a
overrated QB. :shades:
GO VOLS!

Like so many UT games I've seen, some of the wildest things can happen that no one was expecting. So there is always fan anxiety. But the players and coaches are confident and so am I.

My girlfriend has never been with me through a Tennessee game, we got together in February. She just keeps telling me to calm down because it's only a game. I blame her.

She will come to understand. My wife sat in the pouring rain for her first game. She also ensured that it was an off weekend when we got married.

Well if she don't understand it may be better to find a new one that does.

She was raised by a family who doesn't care so much about sports. She tries though. Even got herself a Tennessee jersey. Reppin #45 cause she's seen AJ's highlight reel lol.

My ex fiances family was the same way and i made the mistake of watching a game with them one time. it was the lsu debacle dooleys first year. when i jumped out of my chair and hurled an endless stream of profanities at the tv and then stormed out the door they were mortified haha. not a great early impression to say the least
