Anyone else impressed by the improvement of Ryan Childress?

I haven't seen him yet, but from listening online it sounds like he's a lot better than last year.

I am impressed. Pearl seeems to be able to get the best out of any individual. He squeezed more out of that untalented Wingate than I thought was possible.

Any chance that one of our NIT games will actually make it to TV? (And I don't mean Direct TV)

I'd like to see this team..

The next game against Butler is on T.V and if we win that game, then our following game will be televised. If we win it we our NIT champs.

Nice. Thanks for the info, I'm way too lazy to be looking such things up.

And about Childress... very impressive how he's came out and played. He's already set a career high in points twice through the first three games.

That speaks volumes about the player development and coaching ability of Bruce Pearl and the whole coaching staff.

This guy is getting better every minute he plays. He is starting to play like Bradshaw only in a bigger body. He needs work on his free throws. Actually the whole team does.

WWW.NIT.ORG has downloadable bracket with TV schedule etc...

It is going to be interesting seeing North Carolina play Winthrop tonight. Does anyone know if Winthrop brought back most from NCAA 05 Roster?

North Carolina struggled through the first 25 minutes of game against Sacred Heart last night a team Fordham beat by two I think.

They return all but one major contributor.

Going back to Childress. I watched the exhibition games, and I said that Childress is better right now than Major was before last season. Now, after the first 3 games, I stand by that statement. Last year, I used to calculate the run the other team would go on whenever Childress went into the game. Now, he is looking like a very solid player.

So hat, are you a little less worried about Childress having to contribute a decent amount in the post for us this year?
