Anyone else think we win our last 6 games?

That is a question on a different channel but I'll answer, not that I can remember.

What I was addressing was the idea that that game was decided by a fluke shot at the end of that game. And he mentioned in another thread(I think) that their was only a 5% chance of them winning that game. First, that % was pulled directly from the buttocks. And second, that game was decided by horrendous defensive effort in the second half.

I have no problem admitting when I am wrong or if someone else brings up a valid point.

Do you?

I never saw where he said it was lost on a fluke shot, if he did then my apologies. It sounded to me like he was saying the loss was a fluke, given that we had a double digit halftime lead.

tennessee not won more than 4 in a row all season.

They have not won more than 2 conference games in a row.

They will lose once, if not twice.

3-3 imo. Absolutely NO reason to believe they're gonna get on some kinda run. Could win 3 games vs the 3 best opponents left and could lose vs the 3 worst. No way to know.

You clearly didn't watch the TAMU game. The odds of them winning that game with 30 seconds left was like 5%.

Of course they're capable of anything. But the chances of them pulling another TAMU is slim. That game in and of itself was a fluke.

These are the two post that I am referring to. Where does he mention UT blowing a 10 pt halftime lead as being the fluke?

And if he didn't come across so condescending all the time I wouldn't have called him on it. fwiw I will let it go after this post. Honestly not that big of a deal. Hopefully you have read enough of my post to know I don't constantly call people out.

Nice try lefteye. Of all the negativity and name calling that gets thrown around here (which I largely ignore), I think your policing efforts are better directed somewhere else.

Besides, I question whether you really pay that much attention to my posts in the first place if you think I pull numbers out of the air. With all the emotional bull**** that is spouted off on here (mostly overly negative), I try to only post my opinion when I've got facts or numbers to back it up. Considering the the talent of the two teams, the score, and the time left, Tennessee should win 95% of the time. I posted in the in-game probability chart for your perusal. Couple that with the fact that no Tennessee team under Cuonzo has ever blown a lead like that, you can claim it's not a fluke based on your perception, but I posted why it is a fluke with a little more evidence to back it up.

We don't normally blow leads like that, but Martin has lost way more than he has won in close games down the stretch. I'd like to see what the stats are with 5 min left and how we've done in close games. It doesn't help that Maymon missed the FT's and he's had some brutal turnovers at the end of games that killed any chance of a win. Not his best season.

I want to win tonight then worry about the next five. Since we have lost to Texas A&M at home no game is a guarantee. We are so inconsistent don't see how we could possibly win out last six in a row.

I am going to be the only optimistic one here and say that Tennessee finishes business the rest of the year, losing in the semis of the SECT and getting a 10 seed for the tourney.

IF we make it to the tourney... every team starts fresh and I think Tennessee can surprise people

That wasn't the point.

He's saying losing a game in which we were up double digits was a fluke. Criticize coaching decisions all you want (completely different topic), but I can't think of many occurrences under Zo in which we lost games when leading by double digits at the half.

Can you?
The fluke part was us being up by double digits

Yes we will...wait...I'm too late? Well ****!

I guess they could win the last four plus two in the SEC tournament. That would be six straight. I wouldn't bet on it though considering that their longest win streak is 3 (4 if you count Tusculum).

I thought they would sneak in, but now I think they win 3 of the last four and get bounced from the SEC Tournament in the first or second round ending with 18 or 19 wins. It will leave them just off the bubble and a likely 1 seed in the NIT.

Boom??? Seriously I really wish we would make the Tourney, it's not as much fun without having us to cheer for. Sadly I don't think we have a chance in hell, just going off of our up and down behavior.

I think Tennessee goes 3-1 in the remainder of the regular season and loses in the first round of the SEC tournament. I think Tennessee somehow makes it to the NIT semifinals.

Note to D Hart: you have a once in a lifetime chance to make a decision to energize this fan base, do the right thing for the folks who finance this whole thing and save this sinking ship!! Bruce or bust!!! DO IT!!!!!

So will any of y'all go watch Tennessee play in TBA in the NIT?

Why wouldn't I? It might work out with the baseball game, it did last year, youngin' was too worn out so I drove home and watched. Noticed it would be easy to get a great seat and the small crowd seemed rowdier than the norm. I wished, at the time I'd gone...still holding out hope, but if we don't make the dance, I'm going.

GBO!
