Sometimes players sort of check out mentally when they know it will be their last season, but maybe it is for the best the he considers it his last season. If he would step up and lead this team through the post season, it could be one to remember - for him, and for us as fans.

Yep was just thinking that. The guys might see that emotion and what it means to him and rally behind him and make a run.

I urge every one here to go listen to this interview. My goodness... Got some dust in my eyes, or allergies.. Whew

In my opinion, you would never hear an interview like that from a player at Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, or Kansas anymore, as seldom does a starter last that long at an elite basketball program nor do they have that passion for the program, it is all strictly a business decision, coddled by the NCAA purely for economic purposes, Fulky may have more passion for the Tennessee program than he has NBA skillset within his 6' 10" frame, but from a fan's perspective, I'll take the former over the latter any day of the season and give him a whistle and a holler when he steps back to Thompson Boling to watch a game.

I heard the interview he is all Vol. I think we all could have been in his shoes growing up. When he emotionally told Bob & Bert he used to listen to the games intently and looked up to and idolized players like Lofton, Scotty Hopson and others he named off a bunch. He was very emotional, basically paraphrasing' he was telling kids out there listening believe, work hard and make it happen. Was a great interview from someone that you could tell sincerely loves his family, Vol fans and just the whole 5 year experience.

It would only make sense he'd move onto the professional ranks since he's already a fifth year senior.
Maybe he meant His basketball career is coming to an end. I love Fulky, but he's not an NBA talent, and unless he wants to suffer in some lower tier Euro league, I think he's done. He's been beat up physically over his career, and he has no upside as a player. I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever path he chooses, but I don't believe it'll be as a professional athlete.
