Maybe he meant His basketball career is coming to an end. I love Fulky, but he's not an NBA talent, and unless he wants to suffer in some lower tier Euro league, I think he's done. He's been beat up physically over his career, and he has no upside as a player. I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever path he chooses, but I don't believe it'll be as a professional athlete.
I’m sure your analysis of his future is greatly appreciated by John. Good grief, man. Take 2 seconds to send some positive vibes.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fulky go 1) overseas 2) try G league or 3) try another college program or 4) just get a job.
Sometimes young people are ready to move on with life.

I have a friend who was a really good college SS. Had the tools to make the big time. He told me he chose the business world because of the beating your body took (artificial turf, daily grind, ect.) was more than he thought his body (legs) could take to have a very successful career. He made the kind of life decision facing John. I think John is smart enough to make his right choice.

I urge every one here to go listen to this interview. My goodness... Got some dust in my eyes, or allergies.. Whew
I'll be honest and say that I had checked out a lot on this team over the last few weeks. I've had a hard time getting the same excitement for sports without the true arena and stadium feels. The up and down nature of the team caused me to just casually keep up and watch games when it was convenient and miss games when not. I happened to be in the car driving at the time of Fulk's interview post game and immediately regretted not watching the game. Fulk grew up like a lot of us, being a fan of the Vols. He got to live his dream, and we would probably experience a lot of the same emotions that he had. Stepping off the floor or field for the last time is a powerful emotion regardless of level, but to make your dream come true at a UT, wow! Congrats to Fulk and it's been an honor to watch him play.

It’s guys like Fulk who make Tennessee basketball so much fun to watch. Guys that stay in the program for 4-5 years and grow up in front of you.

It’s exciting to pick up guys who are destined for a quick turn to the league, but it’s hard to get invested in those guys knowing they’ll be here and gone in a year.
