I shouldn't hammer Hubbs on this. My understanding is that when USC looked into recruiting him, they figured that when you factored in differences in the academic calenders between the prep school and his high school, Smith missed about two weeks of actual class time. However, it's plausable that he was out of the classroom for six weeks.
