Anyone know a guy who used to post with the name Rainmaker on some other sites?

True but it made him unique.

Rainmaker sounds familiar. I wonder if he posted on Scout.

I always wonder who disappeara due to health reasons that we never know about.
Yes, Rainmaker posted on Scout / 247. Not to get too into-the-weeds on this site, but 247 made the decision to remove the free basketball board some time ago without telling any of the tight-knit community there in advance. Some of them had paid memberships on 247, but many didn't. So all of a sudden, many long-time posters had no board, and the only hope of contacting many of them was if they checked their 247 inbox (but I think they had to have that turned on maybe?). This obviously pissed a lot of posters off, me included. With warning, many of us probably would have probably paid the membership just for the community that had been built. And that's nothing against this site - it's just different circles of friends. We also could have at least gone through and saved some archived posts that had recorded hours and hours of research to compile. Anyway, another board was created outside of 247, and many of those posters have reconnected. But Rainmaker is 1 that we could never get to find the bread crumb trails.

I believe he was on Scout. IndianVol was another I liked. Lived in Lexington, KY.
Yes, like wtm said, Rainmaker was on Scout. I remember you fondly over there as well, Amsler. But anyway, we’ve been trying to find Rainmaker for ~2 years now, and I just hoped that maybe with our SECT championship and the start of the NCAAT, he’d pop on Volnation to lurk or with a new handle and see my post. Thanks for trying everyone.

I remember a few of you guys from Scout. I came over here really after that Scout went away to 247. Before Scout I posted a while on Volquest when the free board was active before it went downhill. Though I stayed away from VolNation for a long time because other boards complained about it, this is by far the best website for the UT fan community hands down. Some of the folks that came from other boards have contributed to make it even better.
