A lot of their shots seem to be layups. Just like the Indiana game today. I think Bruce will devise a sneaky plan to manipulate their lay-ups. I say we take em!

Not sure...theres a number of players on the team right now that are very inconsistent.

On the basis of our last 2 games and their last 2 games, they will win fairly easily. Things change fairly quickly though.

I'm not even 100% sure this team will go .500 in conference. I know, I know, I'm a moron, but I just keep getting the feeling we're on tap for an implosion that will make the Jerry Green 2001 debacle look like a walk in the park.

Kentucky knocked the snot out of Tennessee twice last season with a subpar team far below the standard set in the bluegrass. This Kentucky team is headed to the Final Four. Good luck with the rest of the SEC but you can write down, in ink, two losses at the hands of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Wow, can we be a little more obsessed with Kentucky around here? How many threads do we need about them?

We don't even play them for 2 more months. We have 15 games to play before that game.

It's possible that we could possibly hang with them....IF possibly Wall was inactive for both games.

Hate to say it but this is a 20 point game in Rupp and a 8-11 point game at home.

I have never started a thread before, but once my daughters Christmas performance is done this weekend, I'll start my first and you can all lambaste me for being right about Tennessee basketball...It's not gonna be anywhere near what you homers are wanting it to be, sad to say.

I am looking forward to huge insights from a childrens Christmas paegant coordinator...

It will be great to hear how a 1 point loss to a top 5 team has unmasked this TN squad as one that will do much worse than 2nd in the SEC East and a decent seed for the NCAAs.

Nice one with the pageant director. I give kudos where they are deserved...

but if you think that Purdue is a top five team (in reality, not in the polls), then I would not speak when the subject of basketball comes up in the future, for your own reputation of course.

:)

John Wall has people hangin on his jock like he's the next big thing. He's a poor man's Derrick Rose.

Purdue is absolutely a top 5 team. You just showed your hoops knowledge (or lack there of) with that statement.

Who do you have in the top 5? Kansas and Texas and Villanova and WVU and Syracuse? Would you put UK in the top 5?

Purdue is a very good team, and that is not a bad loss by any stretch. I did mean top 5 in the rankings which is also why I will keep referring to Florida beating the number 2 team even though MSU is not anymore.

The Purdue loss was not bad by any means. 1 point loss to a top 5 team when nothing was falling.

The game with UK is going to come down to rebounds and momentum. Both teams like to run and the team that can keep the "mo" and crash the glass comes out on top.

I think Wall is better than Rose was at this point in his career. He just has to stay out of foul trouble. The dropoff is significant when he's on the bench.

If it comes down to rebounding, I don't like our chances.

Most people would probably agree with you.

As much as i despise John Wall and UK, Wall is for real, and is virtually unguardable in the open court. I don't see a way we could really contain them unless we have no turnovers and make every shot

UK's half court offense has improved with every game this year. I'd love to steal one at home, but I don't know if we will have the guard play to get it done.
