Vanderbilt faceplanted starting in the second half of the Illinois game and I am not sure what is wrong with a guy who I thought could make it in the NBA who seems to be carrying ovaries now and who was outrebounded by a guard (9 to freaking 1).

Hardwood are you a fanatic about predictions? I seem to recall I was more optimistic about the team you love against UNC and UConn than you were.

You can sit there and display no knowledge of basketball or you can make some legit predictions.

1. How many teams will the SEC get in the tournament?
2. How many teams with the Big 10 get in the tournament?
3. Which conference will be rated higher using RPI by March?
4. Who do you think is underrated now (you can go obvious like New Mexico if you want or you can actually talk some basketball)?
5. Who do you think is overrated now?

Purdue or Ole Miss are going to beat West Virginia. Do you agree or disagree?

Or you could just shut your mouth a while and analyze basketball that is actually going on instead of spewing nonsense predictions that causes the whole board to think you are an idiot.

I can evaluate, break down, and dissect a basketball game OR team as good as anyone on this forum. I have displayed plenty of knowledge. Though I'm not sure you would see it, as I am pretty sure knowledge would have to punch you in the face for you to recognize it.

Somehow you are under the impression that running wildly across the forum spouting worthless predictions out of your mouth, then missing half of them but only focusing on the ones you got right..... as KNOWLEDGE.

Its not knowledge. Anybody can look at results from games and make half ass predictions about who is better or what conference is better. Watching a team play and knowing what they are capable of however, is something you can't seem to grasp.

Case in point, you keep trying to say that West Virginia isn't good because they haven't beaten anyone yet. Who the hell has? Its so early in the season you can't use those numbers. Others see West Virginia for what they have, and what they will be with their talent. Its not hard to see that they are probably better on a talent and psychical level. But you want to go on some worthless rant about something as insignificant as a pre-conference season basketball schedule.

I don't know how else to explain it to you, but I do know this, I'm to the point where I'm done trying.

Can we hang with them? Yes, IF we play the bball that this team is capable of playing. With the way both teams are playing right now can we hang with them? No.

As the season stands right now & with the way both teams are playing IMO Tennessee isnt a top 10 team. We are looking at finishing 2nd in the SEC East behind Kentucky & getting knocked out before or in the Sweet 16. BUT it is very early in the season & their is alot of time for improvement. Who knows how this team will be playing come Feb & Mar

I asked specific questions and you did not answer.

Show me half of my predictions that have been proven wrong.

Hmmm....Syracuse and Kentucky both have beaten lots of people and not in Santa Clara fashion but in a way that serves notice that they are going to be a tough out in the NCAAs.

Texas v UNC, Duke v. Gonzaga and even Florida v. Richmond (Florida has played much better games than West Virginia) will all go a long way to establishing if some of these teams are just a different class than the rest of the country.

If you know based on ability that West Virginia is going to be great, go ahead and make your prediction that they will easily beat both Purdue and Ole Miss.

MHF, his point is that we should discuss what is actually happening and evaluate teams based on their talent level and current performance, rather than make all kinds of baseless predictions hoping that something will turn out correct.

Talent level? Baseless predictions?

I said UF would have a very solid season based on in part my evaluation of boynton and my belief he would be able to contribute. Other people said UF has guards that suck. We will see more by March, but we already have seen enough to know that was a miss in terms of talent evaluation.

I don't think there is even a question if we can hang. Since pearl has been here has there ever been a team that just whoops up on us. We will hang and we will win the SEC this year. BOOK IT!

Yes. Kentucky, with lackluster teams has continued to treat us like the Lady Vols.

Hmm. Maybe Kansas can be added to that list. Two consecutive beatdowns counts as a "whoopin'" in my eyes.
