I like Perry at back up LT. is this inside information? I didn’t know nothing about the kid I had to google his name.

I just assumed Dayne Davis would be on a lot of these 2-deeps, considering he’s been around and we don’t have many experienced back-ups on the O-line

Im definitely not an insider. I pretty much read everything i can and bring it here with my own opinions about how it might play out. Perry has had some nice weight (over 300 now) and strength gains this offseason. He already has the prototypical build at 6’6. He was a mainstay at OT during spring and saw his name a lot.

Hubbs recently raved about LJ3 in the war room. He’s been in the program for 3 years now and so maybe he’s ready mentally for the grind. Supposedly taking things more seriously and has worked his way into the 2 deep.

I also think Davis ends up starting at LG or RG so that means some underclassmen and Lampley will be playing too.

Good feedback, I try to read the practice reports from spring but sometimes I get lost. Offensive line depth seems like our kryptonite this year. Hope I’m wrong.

I dunno, but I think Sampson might be the RB with the 1:s and the 2's.
Nah.

Bishop is a capable option. I still believe in Keith as well.

Once Lewis and Seldon are fully healthy things will get really interesting

Lot of noise (the good kind) for Perry during Spring. All new players are a blank slate and nerd stars are irrelevant.

Need to get Beasley healthy at CB.

McCoy looked like the only nice addition at CB,
McMurray and Matthews were both getting smoked in the spring. Need those guys to improve in a hurry.

Need as much competition at that spot as can be had

ONL starts over Eason. ONL will be drafted. Probably in the first 3-4 rounds

Carter starts over Telander

Bailey will either be the starter or 2nd team at SDE
ONL over Eason and Carter over Telander were my only changes to @OrangeMoundTNVol two deep. Otherwise it looks good.

ONL was (Phil Steele) preseason all-SEC. Our DL looks to be loaded this year.

Ramon Foster is on record saying after watching spring that Eason looks like a 1st rounder. And add that episode of The Juice on him I figured he finally takes that jump, the potential has been there just needed seasoning. Agree though ONL is one of our better tackles, would put him above Big O but I know how beloved O is to the staff. I got Carter over Telander as well, just think Telander got a jump on him this spring with the new coach. Hope he balls out this fall camp though.

Telander is a beast.
He’s LB # 1 imo

The top 4 will all play similar amount of time, but Telander is the lead guy right now. And Pili, Carter, Telander and Spillman are all leaders.

I want to see our first team dline completely shut down UTC. Then let them take second half off but keep our first team secondary in the game and see how they perform against UTC first team offense.

I want us to rotate six deep, two a drive at d tackle. And let the cream rise to the top, stats/analytics will determine as we go(👀 @ Hobbs)

Agree Telander is a baller but I think Pili is the guy running out with the 1s. His maturity and leadership of that group is invaluable. I think he came back for this and that's reflected in him being at SEC media days.
