Apologies to recruits and players

I would like to apologize for some of the remarks by some of these so called TN fans about how awful we are and wanting others players benched for a bad game. Recruits we need you to get back to elite status and players thank you for wanting to play for us during these down years and giving all you have. We sre all not like this some of us do appreciate you. GBO

All boards have posters that hate everything. I am sure recruits understand that.

We have not played awfully many times this season, including the past four games? Persons playing badly shouldn't be benched for the good of the team?

Expressing valid opinions and facts as part of civil discourse doesn't warrant an apology. Namecalling and death threats are a different matter entirely.

Expressing valid opinions is fine. It's the way they are expressed. There are many on this board that would have us believe that CBJ and company need to be fired now. Our current players suck and this recruiting class will fall apart by NSD.
Not a real positive message being sent to those currently commited and to those still considering us. :twocents:

I agree with you 100% Vandy is a good football team they have been sense as bad as I hate to say it JF got there but with this class and another top 5 we will be back where TENNESSEE belongs at the top, the ones that are bashing don't know football a person just don't put on a helmet with a T on it and beat everyone 50-0, give coach time and we will win and a lot of these recruits comes to sites like this, so we need to keep our mouth shut at least until NSD.:)

It is one of the largest and most passionate fan bases in the country. It is also one of the dumbest and most negative ones as well.

Here is a dose of reality:
Many people predicted UT to win 4-5 games.
Worley is/was the best QB. True freshman shouldn't play against the toughest schedule.
The coaching staff has one of the best classes going, no reason to shake it up.
Vanderbilt isn't the same old Vandy. They beat teams they should.

Vol fans need to build on UGA/USC games. It was a different team then and it will be a different one 2-3 years down the road.

You give way, way, way too much influence to the internet

Recruits want to play for coaches that will make them winners. See Nick Saban

The last thing they care about is how many fans "like" them on Twitter or which fans kiss their ass on a message board

If UT's current players and pending recruits are mentally or emotionally fragile enough to be scarred by internet message board chatter, then you guys are screwed.

Great post Count.

All the losses this year- fans' fault. We didn't cheer loud enough. I have to admit that I only "Fist Up"ed after 2 of all 3 of our big defensive stops. My bad.

Stalking teenage recruits on Twitter and other social media outlets is kinda creepy to be quite honest.

We can fight amongst ourselves like brothers, but when an outsider steps in we band together.

Shouldn't you be scouting out Bammer Walmarts in case you need to display a national championship trophy in January?

Nope. We've had so many trophies to display lately, we're totally up to speed on where the Walmarts are.
