I did always wonder though if there was a stigma due to his age with young recruits. It seems like there really is.

I will say he should be able to take the talent at USC and have a famously nasty defense next year at USC. But I think that Lance Thompson or Rodney Garner may be able to do a great deal in recruiting and no one will make Depends undergarments jokes behind their back.

They will end up with Malzahn possibly, but they will not lose their recruiting class. He is also not leaving after a year. He expressed real emotion about leaving, said it was hard to leave but his kids understood.

DD cared about his players he told them first,Lk did not. DD stayed 3yrs and raised money for the school,LK did not. DD talked about how much he owed his old school, not how much he did for them. DD said it is about the school and the kids, LK said it is about him. DD told his coaches, LK did not even tell his Bro-in-law who was one of his coaches. That is some of the diff.
