Sorry for my dismissive post in the initial thread complete with name calling! I really didn’t think Nico was the kind of kid to allow this to happen but we see his dad does the driving and he’s too weak to be his own man. I shouldn’t have reacted that way so apologies to all! 🧡

I heard he was running to tell his dad to stop the meeting but he ran out of bounds before he got there.

Same I was wrong I still think this is more on dad but nobody is bigger than the program… it had to be done once he no call no showed… heup always recruits the Qb spot well… merk and g Mac have talent and ability as well and hopefully we add a good transfer and have a great qb comp this fall… I’m rooting for merk I really liked him a lot when we signed em thought he may never get an opportunity tho due to Nico then g mac or Faizon… this could be a blessing in disguise and put a chip on the whole teams shoulder.

Hopefully Josh will learn from this. We basically recruited the first quarterback in the NIL era everyone was so excited about the hype and no one thought he would leave this way. So hopefully Josh can learn from this going forward. The NCAA is a horrible Institution and they obviously don't give a crap about fans or the colleges

See that's the thing when someone comes with info instead of listening and seeing if it plays out instead since it's not what they think they go to name calling, saying we dont know **** about ball 🤣🤣 acting like they know it all when they don't and then the apologies come

All those people who criticized Joe Milton and screamed for Nico should feel pretty stupid about now.
I don't see the comparison whatsoever . Those folks wanting to see Nico over JM play ( including me) were based on sound logic. Once we had lost enough games that a NC was out of question, there was no viable reason to keep playing Milton just to get to a bowl game. I still felt we'd been better off letting Nico get some game time and be ready out the gates for next season ( last season). If anything Nico's leaving early validates our point.

I am perfectly happy that neither Nico or JM will not be around this Fall. Merk is already than either of them.

TThat's why

That's why you find a good Southern quarterback,
Clausen was a stud though.

I think when you see a kid dressing up like a moron everywhere he goes and has a meddlesome family maybe you need to pump the brakes on making them the face of the program. Still that nil signing probably did a lot more for Tennessee than Nico ever did on the football field.

You play the best player. After watching how Nico started last season it is CLEAR why Milton played over him.

I remember years ago the guy who broke the news on Volquest about Kiffin got absolutely roasted including by me. I learned my lesson that night on being too quick to call bullsh*t.

Yep. Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.

We all bought a little into Nico. I wasn't one going online saying we would win a National Title or he would win the Heisman (heck, we are cursed with Heisman situation) but I still thought he would be a good QB. Turned out we were all wrong.

I am just not going to get invested in these overhyped 5 star QBs anymore.

I’m thinking other Coaches could learn from Josh!

Yeah same here, all of my inside sources told me he was trying to throw his weight behind the team but missed and landed in the transfer portal. 😋

Bigger, faster, better runner, throws long ball well, was at practice yesterday and yesterday.
So you’re basing him being better on practice and assumptions? Nico is taller, who has a faster 40 time? Clearly I’m rooting for Merk if he is our guy. But I’m not going to pretend he’s better on paper in every way when that clearly isn’t true.. I mean it could be but we won’t know until the season starts. He was the clear back up who likely was never going to start here until Nico decided to walk.
