Sounds like you're confusing him with Jack Sells.

No. The Jack Sells/Ron Zook Kinko's fax incident was that same year but Dale Jones was an assistant at Florida in '91 and he did send the Florida playbook to the Tennessee coaching staff. Spurrier told John Adams of the KNS about it in '93 and he approached Fulmer about it...Fulmer admitted that it was true.

Correction: Dale Jones wasn't a Grad Assistant, he was a regular Assistant at Florida in 1991. Anyway, both Florida and Tennessee had each other's plays in '91.

Never heard that one.

God, that was a fun 4 year run

You can find the 1983 game on Youtube. Worth a watch.

I remember I had to go to a picnic at the Lenoir City Park that day (1983 game) and we listened to Ward call the action.

Sad I can remember something from 31 years ago, but can't recall what I had for breakfast this morning. :loco:

I chalk it up to prioritizing!

That run just happened to be the 4 yrs I was in the POTSB. Some of my fav memories, especially the 82 game. 83 was just as good. The 83 and 85 games are the only time in my life I've ever enjoyed going to Birmingham.

Here you go....I'm sure you're in this.

I have a question for you that I hope you can answer/ clear up. Why was Rocky Top played differently back then? That's the way I remember it growing up...see the repeat at about 1:25.

Awesome. Wow, what chills I got seeing that again. I think I might have seen my horn on a turn.

Like you, got a couple of miles under my belt so I dont remember everything. I want to say that is actually how it is written on the music but the version we usually hear is a bit shorter. The repeat is cut out and the ending is cut too. For some reason that sticks in the cobwebs of my head. The other answer might be that it was arranged differently to sync with the drill.

Lenoir City's Band, under Ric Best, always played it like that. Just curious.

I'm the same way minus the 31 year part, I've only been alive 30. :)

Not sure why this is even worth mentioning? UT-Chattanooga beat Appy State last year. UT-C has a better team this year also, and they are coming to Neyland. Doesn't matter, we'll wipe the floor with either of them.

It's not worth mentioning when a new team is added to our schedule?

Okay bud.
