According to this CBS analyst

Tennessee 69, Kentucky 62
After winning four straight SEC Tournament titles between 2015 and 2018, Kentucky will be absent from the championship game yet again after the No. 3 seed Wildcats lost 69-62 against No. 2 seed Tennessee in Saturday's semifinals. The loss will also drop UK from a projected No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament to a projected No. 2 seed, according to CBS Sports Bracketology Expert Jerry Palm.
Tennessee will play No. 8 seed Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament title game at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday before the 6 p.m. ET NCAA Tournament Selection Show on CBS. The Volunteers entered Saturday's action as a No. 3 seed in Palm's Bracketology and will only solidify their standing after picking up a 10th Quad 1 victory.

CBS has been very negative on us in their 'bracketology' the entire season. They had us as a 4 for the longest time even after the NCAA explicitly said we were a 3 in their early projections.

We still might end up a 3 seed, but we were #8 in the NET rankings BEFORE today. And a win against the #4 team at a neutral site is only going to help. The only real problem is that the most of the teams above us also won: Kansas, Villanova, and Houston. But if we win the SEC tourney tomorrow, it would be crazy to deny us a 2 seed. Winning the SEC tourney also challenges the only real argument against us: our away-from-home record.

The only thing that sucks is that if we would've had the chance to beat Auburn in the SEC championship game we could've been the last 1 seed or highest 2 seed.

A little off topic, and maybe my post should be somewhere else, but I've tried to like Coach Cal because I know Coach Barnes does and a lot of other SEC coaches respect him. But I swear, from the opening tip to the last play of the game he is whining, complaining, and working the officials. Makes me think he's a cheater at heart and makes me not like him. JMO

First of all, Cobb is a UT graduate. Secondly, he’s only referring to Jerry Palm, who is the CBS bracketologist. I don’t think that’s Cobb’s opinion. Those guys try to toe the company line and tout their guy. Palm is bad, too.

I used to feel the same way. but as a coach its his job to work the refs for his team. Barnes does it also. I think as Vols fans we are tainted by his time at Memphis.

They are predicting how a group of people will rate a team and on what basis. I think its going to surprise people especially in regard to the SEC teams. There are alway a lot of surprises. Teams like AU and Purdue who finished weak might be at risk.

At the risk of stating the obvious, they’re scared we’ll choke in the show. They don’t want to look stupid, because nobody does. Sister Jean is a great feel good story, but folks took a bath on us in 2018.

We’re playing great in March, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s setting up great if they can just put down the Aggies.

It almost appears that the brackets are set as "final" after the Saturday games, without regard to Sunday outcomes.

I’ve actually grown to like him because when they lay a turd he doesn’t sugar coat it and make excuses like some coaches (Penny) and also gives credit to the other team. Seems to really call it like it is

Duke lost, too-- and Lunardi still has VOLS as 3 seed. I hope he is not reliable but that ticker runs across ESPN all the time.

This will be the year our Vols break through and win a tourney title and this will be the year the committee “penalizes” the SEC champ, for playing a Sunday championship game. Count on it.
