If I'm 240 vs. 195, that changes my mentality a whole lot.physically, sure, maybe lets just roll with the thought that a freshman rb is standing up some All American Senior DL whose been on Deer Antler Spray, I mean a college S&C program, for 5 years at Bama.
Mentally? Thats a tall ask of any freshman.
That’s a tall task for any college RB, period.physically, sure, maybe lets just roll with the thought that a freshman rb is standing up some All American Senior DL whose been on Deer Antler Spray, I mean a college S&C program, for 5 years at Bama.

plenty more science than just 240>190. also pretty sure most of our RBs are over 210 its not like we have a bunch of undersized guys. You don't have to be Trent Richardson to get the job done. Jauan Jennings leveled Jalen Carter or one of those other large Georgia DTs blocking downfield. That’s a tall task for any college RB, period.
I’d probably take the dude built like Trent Richardson as a Fr instead of a senior who’s giving up 30 lbs to the LB. Because you know, science.
Your initial question was how does a true freshman help in my proposed depth scenario. No one said he'd be RB1. You're speaking about our current RBs who have been in a SEC S&C program. In regards to true freshmen, the science still says that having the more physically ready body is to your advantage if all else is equal. No one is dropping conventional wisdom. I'm basing my statements from experience playing college football.plenty more science than just 240>190. also pretty sure most of our RBs are over 210 its not like we have a bunch of undersized guys. Leverage, angle, feet/stance, timing all come into play to when picking up a block. And I would think any college SR is going to have that figured out more than a freshman. Also going to be a lot more used to facing those big players and won't be gun shy.
but sure lets drop conventional wisdom and just roll out a freshman because he's big.
It was actually quicker to go back a few pages and see for yourself rather than wait for someone to post an answer to your question. I know from experience. It took me about a minute. It took 7 minutes for you to get a response after your second request (38 minutes after your first request).Quicker to say Arkansas
I’m not on this board constantly. It’s a lot QUICKER for me to look at my notifications for the answer (after coming back from living life) than to go back and read a bunch of nonsense from negas about the staff not “closing”.It was actually quicker to go back a few pages and see for yourself rather than wait for someone to post an answer to your question. Okay. I guess I should have realized you don't spend much time on Volnation when you asked why people respond with smart-ass comments. It's Volnation!I’m not on this board constantly.
