Are We Done at Dline???

I think if an elite talent came along and wanted to commit we would take him. The question I have is how does all the DL commits this year affect our recruiting class next year and the year after for DL?

With this staff, I don't think it matters so much. Guys who aren't afraid of competition see that they will get a shot. Look at teams like USC and Florida. They reload every year regardless of who they already have. IMO, I wouldn't trade our staff of recruiters for anybody elses in the whole country. These guys rock!

Oh, I agree guys. He would be awesome at DT. I just think he is, right now, perfect for a bigger, run stopping DE. The kind of DE's you usually see in a 3-4...

Agree. Willis reminds me a LOT of Shaun Ellis when he came out of Anderson, SC.

I love those bigger, physical DE's that can move.

Well the #1 DT in the nation and a future 5* is already committed for the 2011 class in Anthony Johnson.

He might be the best DT in the country right now in high school regardless of class.

We will not be able to offer as much early PT. Kiffin said on Gameday he expects a number 1 class this year and top 5 each year after that.

USC and Texas and UF and tOSU and Bama, we will be right there with those guys every year. We will be top 10 talent and top 10 wins starting 2011. Our coaching staff seems to know how to get great talent on the field and how to improve everything but a QB who has been a career killer now for multiple people.

As far as D Line, we take Quarles, and then if we get either Ego or Powell we take them.

I said this before and now I am sure of it,

Broussard, Pair, and maybe Copeland (Vader do you have info on this) could all end up somewhere else. Broussard it is grades and the tigers, Pair it would be South Carolina and being buried on the depth chart from day 1 and Copeland I think it would just be depth chart related as well.

I would say that Quarles or Uko will be the last guy at D-Line. Maybe even Maurice Hayes out of JUCO in California might be the guy. We want as many early enrollees as possible on the D and O-Lines.

I feel like the chances of keeping him sit around 20% right now, though.....god I hope we can.

With a good season this year, the key components of the staff (Orgeron/M. Kiffin) being around next year, and a really good season next year I would say we at least have a 50% shot at keeping him.

Who knows as it is still very early. I'd put it more like 80% though.

It's certainly a who knows situation, and I hope that my 20% is too low...but I can't see it as any better than 50/50. You have to like Orgeron's chances though...and hopefully Frank Wilson can convince him he's not going anywhere (unless, of course, he is going somewhere).

Quarles, Powell, Lemonier, we would snag any of these, and maybe Jeffrey whitaker IMO. We cannot take more than one though.

powell im sure we would take if he wanted to commit but im sure with this class it is going to scare off the rest because every player now wants instant playing time. you cant count out orgeron getting some more but i would rather them go for some OL and elite LBS. we need depth at OLINE and some impact LBS like luc etc..other than that i think this class is covering alot of needs and starting a great foundation for a championship team..
