Are we gonna get any more commitments or are we done with the 25 that we have?

I thought that they would bring Glass or McNeil on board, but I guess not.

I would say we will get some of the other players after we analyze what we got. Do not see Zac Tait coming to UT though-he is unsigned but...I'm thinking DT is where we might sign from leftovers.

It's hard to fathom they had no back up plan at DT...

Effin Kiffin is still calling recruits. I say "turn those machines back on! SELL SELL SELL!"

i say keep what we got and sign like 34 next year.

Signing a few more 2-star OLs or DTs isn't really going to help us next year anyway. I'd rather have the spots next year for 4-stars and 5-stars that the staff has been working on for a year.

Given the upheaval of the past several weeks, I would say we have done extremely well. I agree 100%. Save the spots for talent that we will be able to get next year.

We're done with the 2010 class. I imagine that tomorrow, Dooley gets started on the 2011 class. Hell, he's probably already prepped for it.

Are we going to even take Glass if he wants to come here? He was talking about committing a few days ago and hasnt yet so I wonder if we told him we didn't want him after we picked up Stone.

Exactly. We don't need to spend valuable scholarships on guys who can't really help us. Pocket them and use them next season, when DD has more than a few weeks to recruit.

It looks like we salvaged a top-10 class in spite of everything that happened. What more can you really ask for than that?

we did well, but had we not hogtied the 7 EE's then this class all of a sudden doesn't look so hot. Again, I think CDD did a good job, but our "ranking" was helped by the fact that Kiffin's EE's stayed at UT....... I'm also really really pissed we lost Copeland

If we got two left over and there's decent talent left, I say use on in-state guys before we go and sign a guy LA Tech was recruiting.

Could be part of Dooley's strategy to focus his efforts and attention on the 2011 class now, instead of accepting commitments from players we don't absolutely want. He'll have an entire year to get in front of these prospects and sell his message of the Tennessee program.

I think that gives us a better shot at signing more, higher caliber players as opposed to just filling out a roster. It's difficult to not want to sign as many as we can given the number of players we've lost, though. Our depth will be an issue in 2010 just as it was in 2011.

Maybe I'm drinking Dool-Aid too, but I gotta believe we're saving spots anticipating a heavy 4 and 5* class next year. CDD did learn to recruit under Saban, so its going to be interesting to see the theory play out. Love it or hate it (latter most likely), Saban is in the elite recruiter category. That said, Dooley's likely to blow up the recruiting scene next year. Then, I think, we'll all be glad we didn't sign 2*s in the 2010 class that may never play.

If we back count 2 then we can sign 27 next year with a full year for this staff to work. We have to have the thinnest OL and DT depth charts in the country. If Chuck Smith is coming I'm very confident he can charm some nasty DTs to UT next year.

It looks like the UGA is slightly down and has lost its grip on the State of Georgia, so we may be able to pull more out of that state than we have in the past couple of years. We may end up with a good class next year (Auburn type class or better).
