Are we done?

It looks like the UGA is slightly down and has lost its grip on the State of Georgia, so we may be able to pull more out of that state than we have in the past couple of years. We may end up with a good class next year (Auburn type class or better).

Agreed. Dooley is they type of guy that can build an atmosphere at UT that players want to be a part of. Especially players from the Southeast. They say a big reason why Auburn is such a draw is because of the comraderie (sp?) and family feeling. I think UT can be that place as well. With our tradition, history, facilities, etc, there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to bring in top talent every year. The stability with Dooley will work wonders.

The minute I saw Auburn squatting guys behind the line so as to be unseen, I lost all respect for that program. I can't believe they've pulled the class they have. Perhaps it is the family feel. But, how do you expect to build a program on trick plays? At least the spread is real football principles. But kids' league trick plays??

Why? It's completely within the rules.

You know that Arkansas did the same thing back in 2006, with Darren McFadden hunkered down behind the line. Ironically enough, it was against Auburn with Gus Malzahn as Arky's OC.

Dooley indicated in his press conference that we may not be done for this year, and I take from that remark that he is still evaluating our class and looking at our needs. If he thinks there are underrated prospects out there that meet our remaining needs and remain unsigned, it appears he will sign them.

Remember that we will be able to have a pretty large class next year regardless, especially when you consider current players and new recruits that will fall by the wayside during the year. That is just a fact of life in college football.

One I would keep my eye on is Patrick Swilling Jr. Just a two star, but look at the kid's genes, measurables, and offers -- he may be the real diamond in the rough remaining out there. We have numbers at LB, but I am not sure of our quality of depth. Another plus for him is that he meets Dooley's unwritten rule that recruits possess both good character and intelligence.

We desperately need help at DT, but there are really none out there that are capable of SEC caliber play that I know of.

If the right recruits that meet our needs are out there, then I am sure that Coach Dooley will pass and save our slots for next year. He has accomplished a small miracle in the short time he has been here, and has earned my respect.
