Are we really in the running for all these guys?

Yeah. It was Jacques, I think. As far as the linemen recruiting goes IMO those are the positions where depth is cruicial. Probably the only position where I think depth is anywhere near as critical is WR. Having the ability to substitute linemen without a significant talent/performance dropoff has been the difference between winning and losing in the SEC the past few years and I don't see that changing. Also, with Meyer most likely going to full spread option next year the DL are going to be running a lot more against the Gators and the ability to rest your D-line will be imperative.

So you still get the freebies on an unofficial visit? Wasn't there a UT prospect who had to reibmurse the school for the cost of his ticket because he was on an unofficial?

It was Bolden after he took tickets from one of his classmate's father. Tickets were for a basketball game and a dinner at the arena.

We lost 4 OL last year(Toeiana, Douglas, Gandy, and Smith). We signed 4 last year(Myers, Johnson, McLendon, and Shaw). We lose 2 this year(Sears and Ligon). We have 2 committed for this year(Pope and Sawtelle). Rawls did transfer, but we moved Richard to OL. We have the numbers, just have to gain experience at the OL.

As for the DL, we lost 4 DL last year(Mahelona, McDaniel, Hall, and Haralson). We signed(remaining) 3 DL last year(Thomas, Nelson, and Fisher). We lose 3 DL this year(Harrell, McBride, and McGlothlin). We have 2 committed for this year(Williams and Williams). We are, at least, 2 behind. We will sign at least 2 DTs and probably another DE.

We just have to see.

OL-Josh McNeil, Vladimir Richard, Eric Young, Jacques McLendon, Cameron Mayo, Darius Myers, Steven Jones, Ramone Johnson, Michael Frogg, Jarrod Shaw, Anthony Parker, Ramon Foster, Chris Scott, Cody Pope, Darris Sawtelle

That is 15 not counting any more that we may take. Mayo and Jones, IMO, won't contribute. Myers and Shaw had alot of weight to lose and Pope, Sawtelle and any other signees will likely redshirt. That leaves 9 barring pleasant surprises and/or busts.

DL-Jared Hostetter, Victor Thomas, Dan Williams, Antonio Reynolds, Robert Ayers, Xavier Mitchell, Wes Brown, Walter Fisher, Chase Nelson, Demonte Bolden, JT Mapu, Gerald Williams, Rufus Williams

That is 13 and will likely be at least 16. Hostetter will be a non-contributer but the rest should contribute. Thomas, Brown, Fisher, and Nelson can play in or out. D Williams, Bolden, and Mapu will be DT. Reynolds, Ayers, Mitchell, G Williams, and R Williams will play DE.

can we get some O-line guys that can run block while we're at it.....I really dont feel confident in our DTs, that's what I was refering to above, it seems as though our starters are competent, but after them there is a big drop off

Pope and Sawtelle are big and nasty. They both have great feet as well. McLendon is a steamroller so that will help as well.

Sawtelle has some video on rivals, HV, tell us what he looks like

Sawtelle is the real deal. He has all the tools. Speaking of run blocking. The O'Dowd kid from out west is a run blocking specialist, some say the best run blocking OL in the country.

I think the lines will be much better and no where near as young. We have several guys that will still be Soph. and Juniors that will have big-time roles next year and I actually think they will be better next year for the expierance they get this year. I think the Coaches are getting more confidence in Bolden each week.
