I think questions about guilty pleasures (movies, music, food, etc.) are usually a good time and insightful.

Yes. It's usually just a temperature check more than something I take seriously. Good conversation starters, like Candy Corn being disgusting, or syrup in tea. Something light hearted, but that people take seriously enough to often be passionate about, or at least generate a laugh.
