While the US men court volleyballers are dropping matches to the Nederlands and Italy, the US women are tough to beat. Right now, they're leading Serbia 2 sets to 1.

I get it. As far as court volleyball goes, the power and speed of the men's game is the gist of the appeal - spikes are faster than tennis serves, digs are unfathomable (how did he get to that?!?), long volleys are rare. BUT, the US men are draggin' and the women are battling. Besides, the women look good is those form fitting short shorts. Awesome tight butts. Leg press me. Please.

Been watching the track & field the past few nights. Actually stayed awake long enough to watch Bolt win #3. Last night, watched Jennifer Simpson win the bronze in 1500m. First even for a US female athlete. How about that?

The US men volleyballers' comeback fell short against Italy (who came back themselves to win the 5th set tie-breaker). Like the US women, the fellas will be playing for the bronze medal.
