Are you going to watch?

I am going to watch to see if the Cuse can keep it close. I expect UCONN to prevail but I am a women's basketball fan, therefore I will check it out. Who knows, miracles have happen before, why not tonight?

Nope.

I had it on just now for two whole minutes, and Doris Burke already made me throw up in my mouth. :

I'll catch up on Better Call Saul & Bates Motel that aired last night.

ESPN is doing everything possible to discourage viewership of this game.

No, we will not watch. I just hope our Lady Vols can get it together!

What will next year bring? Not looking good right now! Still no recruits and no word on what might be going on.

If Holly cannot get it done she needs to step down.

Just my $.02 but this team seemed to get it together late as we made it to the elite 8. We are in desperate need of good guard play - not Cooper's scoring mentality, but rather a leader, distributor and controller of the game. Good guard play is a must have for next year to be successful (ie. final 4)...

Absolutely... Pity the coach who can't learn from others coaching... Pity the fan who leaves the contest early.

I have no dog in this fight.

Well the Cuse are not playing as if they have a dog in the fight either. In fact they are looking like a bunch of dogs being eaten up by a bad ASS husky. UCONN is turning the women's NCAAs into a joke. Women basketball coaches need to get their heads out of their rears and learn to compete.

Hope our coaches are watching! They could see how you guard Syracuse shooters..... and how to break their full court press...... THIS IS HOW YOU PLAY BASKETBALL....

Wish it was us.... we can given the proper coaching/teaching about how to play the game!!

After Syracuse missed their first 6 shots that seemed to fall when we were playing them, I turned the channel. I can't stomach UCONN winning 11! Great basketball no doubt, just hate it's not us!

Two things as I have watched some of this.

1. The Syracuse head coach is not helping the image of the game.

2. The point you made. I don't care how good UConn is. I don't care how good Geno is. I think some of this speaks to how poor the rest of the brain trust in women's basketball is. You can't be a quality head coach and be unable to field a team that can compete better than this.

And to #2, I have seen plenty of things that have nothing to do with talent or coaching genius in some of the games I have seen UConn play. Numerous times I have seen people lost defensively and be nowhere near Stewart or some of the other UConn personnel. Losing the player you are guarding for no apparent reason....and you are a Final Four team....I'm sorry. The coaching at this level leaves a lot to be desired.

Not me! I haven't watched the Final for 3 years! I can't stand UConn and Geno!

It's a joke. Syracuse is finally missing shots and Geno can coach to beat the press. Besides the refs being afraid of Geno its another ass kicking for a NC.

Nope. I've checked in during other years, but this year, there's just no reason. I don't begrudge those people their dominance, but it is also utterly uninteresting. At some point you have to think, when one team can so thoroughly dominate the others, that a sport is not exactly what one would call "competitive." Even when Tennessee dominated in the 90s, I felt a similar nagging sense about things. It's great for the team that wins, but that's about it. So long as that team can keep cherry picking some of the best talent (and they have - the Moore/Stewart transition would be like having Holdsclaw and Parker in successive years), and so long as players are happier being on the winning and popular team rather than making their own names or striking out to play for other programs ... well, it's great for the team that wins. That's about it.

I don't understand those who are saying the game is better now than it was 10 or so years ago. It clearly isn't. The players were better, so was the coaching, rivalries, etc., etc. Fine, UConn isn't killing the sport, but everyone else is. For a team to go 122-1 over a period and have, what, two or three games in single digits, is embarrassing. I don't care how good the program is, this shouldn't happen.

What I used to love about UT wasn't just the winning. I followed them passionately despite us not winning a title from 99-06. I loved Pat. I loved the style of play. Our passion. How relentless we were. How hard our players worked. Our athleticism and speed. We had our tough times, but the Lady Vol spirit was still there. Something happened after Parker's class left and it has never returned. The Lady Vol way of playing basketball has deteriorated.

We don't recruit the players to fit that style. I don't want a team that simply replicates UConn's style. I want a team that plays Lady Vol basketball -- win or lose. I saw a few glimpse this year in the tourney but something is missing. I think we got lucky with Pat. And with every year that passes, I realize more and more just how lucky we were.

"The Syracuse head coach is not helping the image of the game."

All he needs is a big, fuzzy, floppy pimp hat.
