We’ll be fine. I’ve been an OU fan since the Switzer days, and always thought anybody who played/coached there knows football, and Heupel was in the locker room of an NC team. CFB starts with the QB, and if he gets some star production out of Salter/Hooker this fall, I think he’ll turn a a top-5 class next year. Get ready for 5-wide, motion sets, and true RPO. Too bad Gray left, he would have been a star in this system. Bailey is odd man out.

There’s about a 0.3% chance we land a top 5 class next year

have to win the east lol

Still unlikely.

We know 3 of the top 5 teams already next year - Bama, UGA, OSU. Then Clemson will flirt with top 5, LSU is always up there, FL is gaining momentum after this year. Oregon looks like they’ll be around there especially if they win games.

Some wild stuff would have to happen for us to magically land a top 5 class. Like 4 of those coaches being fired.

I'm not expecting top 5 or top 10 the next couple years.

I'd say while Heupel is here, we will finish regularly around 13-18. I could see top 10 this year depending on instate but depending on our penalties (Scholly reduction)

Yeah we’ll be in the same range we’ve been in unless Heupel craps the bed. And that’s ok, we can win with those classes. But until we start winning the games we’re supposed to win regularly and actually pulling some upsets on occasion, we’ll stay in that range.

18 may not be the final number. We still have two players asking out of their NLIs, and there are still some really good players yet to sign. So your question is premature. <---obligatory TWSS
I think he is asking the way it sits. That’s like saying you have to wait for a footballl season to be over before saying whether or not you like who you have on roster. Kind of different, but still as it sits maybe you have a different answer?
