I don't think his "brand" has meant much for a long time now. Trump in Atlantic City did terribly. He was mocked down here in South Florida pretty relentlessly, and that was well before he ran for POTUS. The Trump property in Vegas is yuck.

Trump, like many nouveau riche try to buy the fancy place or make the big splash to be accepted into Palm Beach Society. They make big, loud donations, they swagger. Trying to be part of the DuPont's, the Kellogs, the Post family, the Este Lauder crowd.

They are never accepted. You cannot earn your way into that club. You have to be born into it.

Trump has monetized his brand with The Apprentice and with Truth Social. The only profit he has made since the 90s has been from branding...

The brand is built on a lie that he's a real estate guru but he has sure monetized the hell out of that...

He made hundreds of millions of income from the Apprentice. He has made that much slapping his name on buildings he doesn't own. Those profits have subsidized the piss-poor cash flow negative operations of the real estate he actually does own....

He’s about to get a $4B payday on the sale of a social media app that likely is only populated by his cult of personality members. That payday has the capability of making all his short term cash woes go away if the judge acts in even a halfway way no partisan fashion.

But sure keep telling yourself he isn’t good at branding 😂

Its more like $2 billion to $3 billion, and he cannot access that right away, there is a waiting period of about 6 months.

And the stock with which that deal is associated plunged 14 % after the merger yesterday. In 6 months, it may not be worth half what it is now.

It's more a sense of wonder at how he has managed to fool so many people for so long. And a sense of worry that he continues to have sway over so many, who refuse to admit the facts right in front of them.
