Are you watching the inauguration?

If I were to watch it, my reason would be the same as my reason for watching a neckcar race. To see the big wreck.

In other words, HELL NO.

Sidenote - I'm willing to bet a million dollars that ole' Sabs is reading every post in this thread....

i think it would be a better idea for VN to broadcast Coach Kiffin's press conference when he was introduced as the new head football coach, that was an inaguration worth watching :D

I won't be watching. Other than get elected, Obama has done nothing that impresses me and it's unlikely anything he does as POTUS will impress me either. The historic nature of the event is countered by the hysterical nature of his supporters.

The inauguration is a lot of pomp and circumstance so it isn't like we'll get anything informative from it. If you miss it, you aren't missing anything, unless the event has a historical significance to you. He'll give his address, but it isn't like you won't find it posted somewhere to read or watch at your leisure if you so chose. Also, I find it really funny that people have said Obama enough that the ads on the right side of the forum are for Obama Plates & Mugs.

I heard the exact sport where he is sworn in is going to be renamed the Dome of the Rock.

They are going to build a pool at that spot where the blind can come to bathe and have their sight restored and the lame can be made to walk.

I won't watch it, but it's not because I have some irrational dislike and fear of a man who hasn't even started the job like most posters in this thread.

Always do.

I question the patriotism of those who only watch when its their candidate who won. Seems counter to the American spirit of elections.
I always work.

Also, you are confusing "jingoism" with "patriotism". It is a very common error. Don't take it too hard.

The only station in GA that seems to care that the inauguration is coming up is the rap station in Atlanta, and they're having parties at night clubs and giving away tickets to bus people up to DC. Pretty funny actually. I think some people down there believe that when Obama gets sworn in their debt will just be lifted off them and poof! they're rich. And by down there I mean tha ATizzL.

Oh and no, I'm not going to watch it. Don't care enough too. Apathy's a b****

I'll probably watch but the blubbering and fainting by all those completely enamored with the guy will be tough to watch.

Interesting that this will be the most expensive inauguration in history - during Bushie's last one, lefties complained the $ should have been used for Humvee armor, etc. Funny, I don't hear them complaining now...

You are quite the junior psychologist. I'm going to use your deductive powers on your own posts.

From what you've posted, I'm guessing you were a bed wetter until the age 19. Am I right? :dance2:
