If Hardesty had some vision and patience he would be a really good RB. He needs to work on that.I liken Hardesty to Marion Barber, if he can stay healthy. Fast and Powerful.
AF is more like Eddie George. Not much speed but shifty and tough.
I don't think there is a "better", I think they are different kinds of runners.

That's a pretty good way to look at it.
I like Arian, but the only thing that pisses me off is watching him not lower his shoulder on DBs. You're 230 lbs. Run somebody over. But that's really my only complaint. He averaged over 5 yards a carry so he's doing something right.
I had someone earlier in the year suggest to me that the coaches may ask him to avoid as much violence as possible. With our injuries and lack of depth at RB, they want him to do whatever possible to stay healthy.
It frustrates me too, but when I heard that, it struck a chord and made some sense.
That's so weird that Hardesty runs so hard and yet Foster averages over a yard more per carry. Someone needs to teach Hardesty to run hard forward instead of running hard down.
Foster's vision and patience is pretty good. IDK about Creer. Haven't seen enough but it doesn't seem to be a problem to me. Hardesty needs to work on it more than anyone.they all need to work on that, the thing I like about Hardesty is he runs like he has some built up frustration.
Regardless of what Foster does I think we will be pretty good at RB next year
11/30/07 - "Deceptively quick" Foster's 40-yard dash time might not make NFL scouts drool, but Vols tailbacks coach Kurt Roper has called him "fast enough to do anything we or anyone else would ask him to do from the tailback position." "He's just deceptively fast," Karl said. "You look at him and he doesn't look that fast. But then you see him in the open field, and he's pulling away from people."
:ermm:
Hes deceptively athletic.
