Arkansas at Tennessee Game Thread

One rebound from a double-double isn't too shabby..

Nice ft shooting night as well.

He's improved every game. Sure he gets blocked and turns if over at times but without Maymon we would be in bad shape, but let some posters tell it Maymon should be playing 10-15 mins a game.

If you actually watch him on the court, he's more of a vocal leader than anybody else. Him and McRae were the reason we won this game.

Yup. I wouldn't trade a lot of people in the SEC for Maymon when it comes to leading a team. He keeps his head more times than not. He hits 1 free throw against TAM and we aren't having this discussion of if he should sit.

What does what is happening 18 games in have to do with previous games, some a couple of months ago?

If a player isn't playing well and needs to sit, there is nothing to say it isn't deserving, and that the same player could also play better down the road as Maymon did tonight. Hitting his ft's is huge.
Hell, McRae needed to sit for a little bit in the first half. And ended up with 34 and mvp.

I do think we played better tonight but I still hate to see us get in a funk on offense like we do at home. I also think the intentional foul gave us the momentum we needed to finish strong. I just don't see that kill mentality with this team I think we need. Now on to the Gators. Gotta guard the lanes and play our game and hang in late and give ourselves a chance. Saturday could be what we need to get this Madness Tourney hopes going.

Edit: nevermind. I'm not going to waste time arguing lol

We were just totally lucky to win this game tonight. Arky bailed us out with the intentional foul.

Aside from a short span of good D down the stretch, we sucked in this game. We turned the ball over like crazy and we were getting out rebounded by the worst rebounding team in the league.

This team has some talent but no heart and no coaching. We have no shot in Gainesville which will put us at a terrible NITish mediocre 12-7 on Jan 25th.

If the team had no heart they would have lost tonight.
Of course, it also depends on which team shows up.
The Comatose kids could be back.
But, this was a good effort.

I don't know who your argument is against, but if Maymon isn't on the court tonight....we don't win, period.

I didn't even get to see the game up here in Detroit, not one play... but after reading the recap on espn, this was a HUUUUGE win! Sounded like they showed some poise and heart, rallied and won...something this team HAS NOT done much of this season. This team easily could have collapsed after going down 8, but they didn't! I don't think anybody would have been shocked if we had lost by 12. Nice win boys:clapping:
