Arkansas/Bama

Let's put it this way... Alabama could allow Arkansas to put 40 points on the board, and it would still be more impressive than Florida allowing Tennessee to score 13.

How many of them came off turnovers? That's really the defenses fault when fault when Tennessee's drive starts within field goal range. Hmm...

Did you even watch that game? Florida loaded the box and Tennessee still ran it effectively. That is not good defense.

Yeah, then they allowed Tennessee's anemic offense 13 points while Alabama is stifling one of the best offenses in the SEC. I can totally see where you are coming from.

Arky's hurt themselves with all the dropped balls today
Bama doesn't need any help

:crazy:Hypocrosy seems to be a character trait of yours. True story: Bama beats UTs arse!!!

Good luck with that. Alabama should win but after seeing what Tennessee's defense did to Tebow. I fully expect them to embarrass McLeroy or McElroy... w/e his name is. Alabama better force Tennessee to throw the ball a lot because their offense won't be doing a lot of scoring.

And they'll run the ball on Alabama too. So.....

I also think our opinion on effectively running the ball varies. 117 yards isn't a ton... especially at 3.7ypc. Essentially, Tennessee had two good drives running the ball.

Which is more than they will have against Bama unless somebody learns how to throw the ball.

And 3.7 ypc is good enough. Why, you ask? Because 3.7x3=11.1. I'll let you figure that out.

Maybe. I will submit to argument and agree that the defense are equal. I won't say Alabama's is better though.

I do expect Tennessee to have a better day throwing the ball. Kiffin is finally calling simple plays that even Crompton can run. Sort of... Jones was wide open 5 yards before he ran out of bounds and the fullback was also wide open underneath. How you roll out and miss two wide open guys right in front of you is beyond me but he did it. At least Kiffin figured out that's the only shot at making Crompton remotely successful.

Wonder if we had a Mt. Montori FB in the UCLA game if it would've helped.

This could go on all evening. Alabama will score more points on UT than UF. Bama will beat UF in the SECCG. Put that in the book.

The same book that contains the bama player payment ledger?

Maybe, maybe not... but Tennessee will have to have some seriously uncharacteristic performances out of some key players to score much of anything. I fully expect it to be a rather low scoring affair on both sides.

Have you watched any games this year? He has been calling the "easy" plays since the start of the WKU game!!

I know that but that's assuming you're getting exactly 3.7ypc every run. If you run 4 times in a row over and over again. The drive most likely won't make it all the way down the field. In Tennessee's case, they only needed 60 yards for both the field goal and touchdown on their drives. Three of those points are credited to Tennessee's defense. I would say Florida holding them to a field goal on that turnover says quite a bit about their defense. Not to mention, Tennessee was pounding the ball all game and didn't get their touchdown til the end of the game. I am thinking Florida's defense was worn down from being on the field as much as they were.
