Arkansas blew it/Arkansas got robbed (merged)

If anyone thinks that the SEC refs don't want the Golden Boy and his gator army to lose need to look no farther than the BS calls on Arky on the last drive to allow FL to tie the game up. What a crock load of calls on that drive and you won't see ESPN detailing it. Arkansas deserved that game and the refs took it away. Well......that and Tejada missing two sure fire fg's. :eek:hmy:

On their 1st and 2nd replay of the game. Neither made reference of either call. Shocker.

Those 2 penalties were BS, but Arky left enough points on the table that would have negated any impact by officiating had they converted.

The end of the Arky/UF game and the end of the USC/ND games were two of the worst exibits of refereeing you will ever see displayed on tv. Luckily, at least USC won. Longest 4 seconds in college football history...

Even if you're the type that will never admit referees deciding the game one way or the other, you have to admit that Arky-Florida on Saturday was as close as its gotten in college football since Oklahoma at Oregon.

Florida gave up 6 sacks, had 4 fumbles, (2 inside the red zone and 2 inside their own 35), Florida missed a FG, Florida dropped a TD pass, and the UF defense gave up 3 plays over 40 yaards....

So what I'm saying is Arkansas had EVERY opportunity to win on saturday. And win convincingly.

Arkansas, even with all of that, couldn't do it. Don't blame one drive with bad officiating for Arkansas blowing every opportunity they had to win the game BEFORE then.

Florida may be the most boring team to watch in the history of college football. Arkansas should have closed out the game, but three blown calls in crunchtime did affect the outcome of the game. I simply don't see after watching Florida and Texas people can oppose a plyoff.

I know this is VOL Nation, and we talk about vols stuff here but I watched Arkansas beat the piss out of Florida the whole game, just to get robbed by two bad calls in a row Saturday. The back to back 15 yard penalties were just ludicris!!! Even the announcers were screaming at the refs for being so stupid!

SIGH******I was hoping that would be Floridas first fat lip.

Yea they got screwed. It's almost like when the SEC has a team that is undefeated and got a chance to play for the NC the refs are told don't let them lose. Remember our championship game against Auburn? We got a couple of bad holding calls. One on a long TD run by Riggs.

Beat the piss out of UF? Arky should have won, but ut wasn't because they beat the piss out of anyone. It was because they use little scatters and receivers to run in the middle and that makes them fumble prone.

Yes Arkie got 2 very lame penalty calls that led to a tie up from Florida but Arkie should of scored when they had the chance.

The refs didn't leave all those points on the field. Arky should have had enough of a lead that those calls wouldn't have mattered. Bad calls yes, the reason they lost, no.

If they were up 10 like they should have been, officiating would not have been an issue.

Of course the SEC wants Bama and UF to both be undefeated in the SECCG for tv ratings purposes so they can use the viewership #s to extricate more $ whenever the contract is renegotiated. Plus, it helps ensure two SEC teams make it to BCS bowls for the huge paydays. It's not right, but if you're an underdog in this situtation you have to beat the opponent and the officials.
