Seems crazy to me. This eeks of AD scared of derailment this season and being the scapegoat so rushes a decision. I would have thought an interim for a year then entering the coaching pool in November or December would have been better for them. i believe they could have gotten someone better than Mcgee.

Gruden just purchased some land there. My sources tell me it's a done deal. The kicker is Gruden will be bringing Monte Kiffin with him! They are holding up on making it public for now to give Kiffin time to contact USC recruits and leave in the middle of the night, as is the Kiffin way. Book it.

I saw on football scoop that Garrick McGee would be named HC after UAB's spring game this weekend. I cannot see how this could happen, given the mess with Petrino, and McGee having a DUI on his record. I would think Arkansas would avoid that image after all they have been through.

I think that they just go with an interim HC for this year. No link. Just a guess.
